Today is Pet Remembrance Day

In practice we have the honour of spending the last few moments with clients and their pets, these times are so hard with many tears shed by people saying that last goodbye to pets that have brought so much love to human life

It is in the weeks and months ahead that we then look at the amazing memories they have given us

Staff too are affected by loss personally and at work, the tears come and then often over a well deserved cuppa, someone will remember something that the pet swallowed or the occasion the family went on holiday and the dog did its best to upset the time away !

This is Bonnie , she was a terror, she would happily tell the big dogs off, she brought so many giggles to our home she was a beautiful lady by the time old age came ! ❤️❤️

Meet gorgeous Ridley. She came in today for her final vaccination. She enjoyed a little snack on her new PHC blanket and is thoroughly looking forward to getting out for walkies very soon!
As a PHC member we shall look forward to seeing her regularly for weight checks, worming and flea treatments!

Today we said a sad good bye to our dear receptionist Lynne
As many may remember Lynne stepped in to help for a short while when Jacqui was very poorly , and then she stayed to help
Always a smile, often missing from reception to be found cuddling a dog in the waiting room, but never stopped being herself, excellent with clients and great friend to us all.

We wish Lynne all the very best in her future travels but can never thank her enough for stepping in when we needed her most

Take care Lynne and see you for coffee soon ❤️

🐰 Rabbit Haemorrhagic Disease is a widespread, life-threatening virus ⚠️

Often called viral haemorrhagic disease, it is seen frequently in unvaccinated rabbits because it spreads quickly through direct and indirect contact with infected rabbits.

The best way to protect your pet is with regular vaccinations throughout their life. This not only protects them but also decreases the spread of disease.

If you have a pet rabbit and need to check if their vaccinations are up to date, or need to get them booked in, call the clinic and speak to a member of the team.
