Out of my beloved mare Stateside.

She is now in to do some work towards backing. Although she's only tiny, currently standing at 14.2hh, she's pretty exciting.

The videos show her first time working over poles. She may not have quite sussed where to put her feet, but you can not knock her elevation and natural lift 👌

Hopefully, she grows an extra hand so that she can fill her parents' footsteps for me. If not, she'll have to see if she can put these sports pony classes to the test!

Little Firestick ❤️ such a dude!

Another novice under his belt, unfortunately a 2 did creep in once again when he decided to stop to say hi to the horse working around the arena as we were heading into our counter canter! This was costly for his overall mark, but a very nice test with consistent 7s. He did get another score towards his winter area festival qualification.

He also had a go at his 3rd ever Elementary test today - 3rd outing of 5 with just shy of 62% from a list 1 judge. Very fair marks and lovely comment to finish - both judges today commented on his quality and the higher marks to come once he relaxes and gains confidence at this level. Which is lovely to hear! He just lacked a bit of confidence in the harder movements today so a few little mistakes crept in, but he tried so hard!

That's now him qualified for Associated Champs at both Novice and Elementary! Just 1 more score needed for Winter area festivals qualification!

Now a couple of chilled weeks for him before October hard work arrives ❤️

The Jockey club ROR National Championship 2025.

Firesticks first National championship

Novice Restricted National dressage championship - 23rd out of 31 woth just shy of 65%.
He tried really hard but the atmosphere slightly got the better of him, they good stuff was great and got the marks to match, but unfortunately a few added bucks and a couple of shouting moments cost us bringing the score down. Still so proud of him, he really does take it all in his stride!
I'm sure it will all come together on the day soon, but he's honestly coming on so much. I wouldn't want to be on any other horse than him ❤️ he really does give me everything and more and keeps providing us with more and more exceptional memories!

He did however come home with a new friend for the wagon..... Tiny Tom the lion!

Not quite the day we had planned for Firestick yesterday in the Novice Silver Area Festival.

He definitely enjoyed the atmosphere, a little too much at times. It was possibly the most confident dressage test he's done, which unfortunately didn't play to our advantage! The good bits were great, and consistently scored 7s across all 3 judges. However, the added flying changes in the counter canter work gained us 1s and 2s from all 3 judges! This paired with my mind blank where I forgot a medium trot cost us greatly. Overall between the pair of us we easily chucked away around 35-40 marks which in his overall scores would have been costly, so i decided to call it an day before the end of the test and chalk this one down to experience. We all have bad days and I take responsibility for my part of not remembering the test! I don't think he will be taking responsibility for his added flying changes as in all fairness to him, they were exceptional and very clean..... he clearly thinks he should be doing Advanced medium now 🤣

We are now excited to say that Firesticks 2026 stud booklets have arrived.

If anyone would like a booklet and nomination card, please drop me a message (PM or whatsapp 07715973050) with your home address and we will get one in the post.
Or if you see us out and about, feel free to ask for one, we usually have them with us!

The booklet includes pictures of him in action, information about him and his results, a few examples of his progeny so far, and his terms and stud fee for 2026.

Word can't quite express how much I love this boy ♥️ my Tim Tam (Firestick)

Completely lobbed him in the deep end today by entering him in his first ever Elementary tests, having only stepped up to do his first novices at the end of May! Taught him the concept of a simple change in the warm up and pretty much swept the reins back under the carpet for another occassion 😅

He produced two nice, albeit, very green tests to take the win in his sections and be 2nd overall in both classes with 64+%. Is there room for improvement, absolutely, but boy could I squeeze this boy to death with cuddle for how hard he tried for me! The nice bits felt incredible and the trot work is definitely there 🫶

That's his 2 scores for the ROR 2026 Elementary regionals gained, 2 scores towards associated champs and 2 scores towards Winter area festivals gained!

This little stallion is without a doubt earning legendary status ❤️🥰❤️
He is definitely counting down the days until he's allowed to go to jumping parties rather than all this prancing 🤣
