I’m now happy to say that we’re open again and back to working our normal hours! 😁
Most regular customers already have appointments booked for the year, so if you haven’t cancelled or moved dates that would knock the others out of sync please come to the next appointment on your list. Feel free to give us a call to check, if you’re unsure of your dates. Looking forward to seeing you soon 😁

Sorry to say, but we’ve had to close Dogzwash after a change in the advice from Defra.
We, and other Groomers thought that we were ok to stay open for “Welfare Reasons”, because our interpretation of that of means regular grooming prevents matting and skin problems but, last week the wording changed to say that Welfare Reasons were severe cases that had to be referred to us by a vet.
We checked with Hambleton Council and they advised that we should be closed, so from Thursday 14th, we followed their advice and will be closed until further notice.
We will be contacting those of you who have appointments in the coming weeks but if you’ve read this post can you “like” or comment below to save us a call. We will let you all know as soon as we’re allowed to open again.

Hi , We’re pleased to say that we’re reopening tomorrow! 1st June 😊

We’ve been rearranging our diary and are now fully booked for this coming week.
We’ll be working on appointments for the following week from tomorrow, if we haven’t already contacted you and you would like to be on our list, please leave a comment here, or send a message, stating your name and breed of dog and we’ll get back to you as soon as we possibly can.

Can I ask those of you who have appointments, to use the door at the rear of the building when dropping off, we won’t be allowing people inside and we can do the handover of dogs more securely there. Once finished we’ll use the front entrance to hand your dog back to you.

We now accept card payments! I know, at last! 😂
We were planning a price rise in the near future but as we’re now having to take a reduced number of dogs per day, we’ve had to raise them earlier than planned, please ask for the new charge for your dog/ dogs.

Could we also ask for you to be on time for your appointment, neither early or late as we’re limited to how many dogs we can have in at any one time, we can’t hold dogs once they’re finished as it will impact on the following appointment times.

One last thing, if you’ve had problems brushing and combing your dog and he/she has a more knotted coat than normal then expect a shorter haircut this time, it’s kinder for your dog and we won’t have the time to spend hours grooming out excessive knotting.

Hopefully we’ll be back to normal soon, please bear with us while we get appointments sorted out,
