Specialised surgery performed with precision, expertise, and dedicated post operative care🐶💕

Did you know our Clinical Director Matt is able to perform specialised surgery to help Brachycephalic breeds such as pugs, bulldogs and frenchies breathe easier?🐾

Brachycephalic breeds have been bred to have narrowed nostrils and extra soft tissue at their back of their throat, making breathing so much harder for them!

BOAS surgery can involve removing extra soft tissue from their airway and widening their nostrils for a peaceful nights sleep😴

All pets deserves to breathe easily💕

🔥How hot is too hot?🔥

With the weather reaching incredibly high temperatures of 30+ degrees today, we are raising awareness for heat stroke 🥵

Keep your pets safe in this warm weather and monitor for signs of heat stroke;

🔥Rapid panting
🔥Weakness or Collapse
🔥Vomitting and Diarrhoea
🔥Excessive drooling
🔥Change in gum colour

Temperatures of 24 degrees and above can be dangerous for your pets, especially if exercised during the warm weather conditions, heatstroke is a life threatening condition!‼️

Keep your pets safe and cool indoors with plenty of access to cold water, cooler spaces and avoid exercise during the heat of the day!💦

Spend the day with Lizzie for her TPLO surgery🦴✨

Lizzie tore her cruciate ligament which is crucial in stabilising the knee!🦴

When the cranial cruciate ligament ruptures, the tibia slides forwards when any weight is put on the foot (which is very painful)🐾

TPLO surgery involves changing the angle of the top of the shin bone (the tibial plateau) by cutting the bone, rotating it, and stabilising it in a new position with a plate and screws💕

We are so proud of Lizzie and her brave journey to recovery❤️‍🩹
