WWCT volunteers in North Staffs and South Cheshire

WWCT volunteers in North Staffs and South Cheshire (The Walk Wheel Cycle Trust was formerly known as Sustrans). We perform checks and help to maintain the National Cycle Network throughout the area.

Our page aims to inform and involve people in the activities of volunteers for The Walk Wheel Cycle Trust (WWCT) throughout North Staffordshire and South Cheshire. We orangnise events and rides to raise awarness of the facilities availble to people to either travel to work or ride/ run/walk for leisure using cycle paths, towpaths and greenways.

You will notice a change to the name and look of this page. This is because (as no doubt many of you know) Sustrans has changed its name. It is now The Walk Wheel Cycle Trust - a slightly longer name, but one which more fully reflects the scope of its objectives and activities.

I was in Tunstall at 1 pm today and it was brilliant to see a large group of people, including children, litter picking along the alleyway at the back of King William. I spoke to the organiser, Curtess of TS Domestics He said they were carrying on till 3 pm along the greenway past the Tunnel under the Boulevard, where we have done litter picks and which is a recurring litter hotspot.
