Today ….a winter’s rainy day,

Not to mention Elf who sneaked into Paws in the Paddock in the advent calendar and we’ve not seen him since Day 5 ……

Oh Christmas Tree Oh Christmas Tree la la la laaaa …… la la la la
A visit to this spruce forest to do a little foraging was just CHRISTMAS for Tilly and I. The smell of the spruce, the hundreds of, trees big and small, tall and short, was amazing to see. We felt like dwarfs amongst the Christmas trees that looked like they reached the clouds. Our first visit and certainly not our last.

The days of advent leading up to Christmas are going so fast I’m forgetting what day we are on. Bobby opened the calendar yesterday but no way was he going to wear the antlers ….. think he would have eaten them before posed for the camera in them so we didn’t push him 😂
As for Elf not sure what he’s been up to today while we’ve been out? 🤔

Advent….. Day 9

It’s been raining it’s been pouring but the paws have not been snoring 💤
Despite the horrible weather Floyd, Skye and George have still had plenty of exercise. We tried to dodge the showers but didn’t always manage to but hey ho the paws had fun even though we were all a bit soggy by home time.
It was Floyd’s second visit and when he arrived he hadn’t forgotten and was very excited to be back 🤗 He got to open window 9 and took a box of mini treats home with him….. not enough to share this time.
Fingers crossed the weather improves tomorrow 🤔
I did spot Elf earlier warming his bottom on the Rayburn ……. but not for long ….

Advent ….. Day 7 & 8 …..

We have had the pleasure of Bruce for an overnight stay. He has been on many occasions but not for a while so needless to say he was very excited …. how could I tell ….. he did 4 x 💩’s on the way to the field to play ball 😂
As we hadn’t opened the advent calendar yesterday Bruce got to open 2 windows …… one a bag of treats to share and the other an iced woofin….. which he took home.
Mustn’t forget Merlin and Rosie …. they are Besties and had plenty of fun racing, chasing and posing for the camera 📸
As for Elf, he has been quiet over the weekend …… last time I saw him he was watching Elfis Presley on the tv 📺 😂🥰

Advent ….. Day 6……

Today it was Rosie the red nose spaniel’s turn to open window number six but we forgot to take a photo of what was inside but will tomorrow. She is such a good girl and had an extra treat for wearing the antlers 🥰
We have also had George today. He’s not used to coming at a weekend so today’s activities have been a little different to weekdays for him. He went around the farm collecting holly with us for Tilly’s wreathes and was hot on the scent of most probably a fox. This afternoon he’s been in one of the sheds with us to collect sticks and logs for the fire. He just loved sniffing and exploring ….his tail wagging as fast as a car window screen wiper on full speed!
Not sure where Elf has been hiding all day …….. 🤔

Advent Day 5 …..Truffy has been to Bridgemere today and was joined by a little red robin in the cafe who came very close...

Advent Day 5 …..

Truffy has been to Bridgemere today and was joined by a little red robin in the cafe who came very close to say hello.
After his trip he took his turn opening window 5 on the doggy advent calendar but was not impressed with the elf as he would have much preferred doggy treats. He’s now curled up fast asleep but not sure where he’s put elf 🤷🏻‍♀️

Day 3 of Advent ……..

Our very own Bruno opened window 3 today and was happy to get a bag of treats to share with Rosie and Truffy. He is getting on a bit now and set in his ways and a little unsociable so would rather not mix with other dogs. However, he does like Rosie (mind you who doesn’t 😂) and doesn’t react to Truffy. He isn’t really bothered about Kitkat, the farm cat, either who has been seen gingerly walking around the top of his kennel and run and once pushed her luck when she walked straight through the middle of the run. Think Bruno was so amazed he just stood there in shock as if he was seeing things 😳
The kennels are looking very festive 🎄
Looking forward to opening window number 4 …… who do you think it will be 🐾🐶
