A very sad day at Endon today. Trendy crossed the Rainbow Bridge to join his friends Wiggy, George and Efor. I was there when he was born but so sorry I wasn’t with him today. My most grateful thanks to Alison Smith was there for him today. “Run free Trendy, you deserve it.” He has given so many riders so much success in so many disciplines including Mark Holland - show jumping, Kati Balkin - eventing and showing, Jilly Pemberton - workers and the whole family hunting with the Staffordshire Moorlands. Some fantastic memories that we will never forget. Debbie

Four years ago today, Endon closed it’s gates for the final lessons. Wherever has the time gone? Such a sad day but It is lovely to have so many ex Endon pupils coming to Lodge Farm, albeit the next generations! We all have our memories which no-one can ever take from us. Today was a particularly sad day because we paid our respects and said our final, “Goodbye” to Ady Jones. My love and thoughts go to Pat, Bill and Leighann who were a big part of Endon. It was a lovely service, you did him proud. Another one taken too soon. Another gone but not forgotten. With love x

Thank you all for the lovely messages posted recently, it’s good to hear from you. I am looking for a pony - up to 13 hands, preferably a Show Hunter type for a competent small jockey to do a bit of everything, dressage, showing, pony club activities, perhaps pop a small fence, must be well mannered .... one that’s been there, done that and is wearing the T shirt. I know it’s a lot to ask but there must be one out there somewhere. 5* home awaits the right pony. Please either ring me or pm if you know of anything suitable. Have a lovely Easter🐣 Weekend - enjoy the ☀️ sunshine while it lasts because they say ❄️ ⛄️ snow is on the way. Take care, stay safe. Debbie x

Hi, just wondering how you all are? We are now open again at Lodge Farm Equestrian Centre so if we can help you in any way please contact me. Has anyone got any photographs of Katy hidden away anywhere? I promised her new owner that I would try to find some of her. Miss those old days and Endon so much - we had some fun, didn’t we? Take care everyone, stay safe. Debbie x

Please share this for Andrew, thanks. Debbie x

Please can I take this opportunity, albeit that it will be written as though by Andrew, to wish you a very Happy Christmas and all the best for the New Year. if you want to come to Lodge Farm anytime, you will be more than welcome. Take care, stay safe and be kind to each other. With love Debbie x

I really like it when the “old” Endon page comes to life again, all the great memories we can share together. No-one can ever take them away from us. “Gone, but not forgotten” and never will be. It’s two years today since I started at Lodge Farm Equestrian Centre. After Endon closed I never thought that I would be back running a riding school. Am I mad or what? No need to answer that question! The scary part for me is that we are now on the next generation of riders which makes me feel so old. Feel free to call in at Lodge and we will do our best to help you. Meanwhile keep those photos coming in, I’m sure we all love seeing them. Take care all of you, be safe. Debbie x

Kathy Hanley is trying to track down anyone who was at Endon between 1979 and 1981. There must be loads of you out there. Do get in touch with her if you fall into that category. Debbie

This is going to be a long shot, but ....... does anyone have any photos of Rolo? remember him, a tiny chestnut Shetland who was ride and drive. Any photos would be greatly appreciated by someone who is doing a presentation at college on Wednesday this week ...... so we don’t have much time. Would love to help her if we could. Please do your best to find some, thanks. Debbie

Hi, everyone - hope you are all coping with the lockdown and staying as safe as possible. Anyone recognise this pony? It will be quite a while since some of you have seen her. Have you seen the photograph competitions we are running at Lodge? Come on, I know you have all got loads of photos hidden away, let’s see them. Visit the Lodge Farm page for details? In the meantime, remember all the good times we had at Endon. With love to you all Debbie

The end of an era - demolition work has now started at Endon. Absolutely heartbreaking when you think of all the memories we have. Love all your old photos. Never forget all the good times we shared. With love, Debbie x

Well, it’s coming up to 12 months since we had our last lessons at Endon. To me it seems a lifetime! So much has happened since then - let‘s all share some memories and photographs. Ashley put a really old one on - going back to Samson’s and Major’s days! I’ll try and look it up for you all to see. Thanks, Debbie x

This is the hardest thing that I have ever had to write and comes with true sincerity from the bottom of my heart but thank you all for your lovely cards, the beautifully written letters, the flowers I have received here at home and donations to the Midland Air Ambulance Charity. Between us all we gave Andrew the best send off possible. I will never know how many came on Friday and I know those who could not come were thinking of him. I’m not going to mention any names because the list would be endless except one very special person who has become my friend in the last sixteen months - the Rev’d Jeff Short. Andrew may have gone away but he will never, ever be forgotten. i was so proud to have had him as a son and will love him forever ###
