Please forgive me .. all who came today, I was so involved I hardly took any photos! Thank you to all who braved the rain, and made some interesting work, and people did set up outside! It was lovely to share the day with you. We hope you’ll return on a dry day. Thank you for supporting the day with a Creative Community Commission.

Just as everyone left our drawing day down at the Waterworks, we came home and walked up the field … exciting thunder & lightening, seeing the dark and the rain move across the view.

was last weekend. Thank you all who came and participated in art and nature activities, and thank you to the Milton Ukelele Group for a fab performance in the Engine Hall. Thank you to for the wonderful workshops, Ann Cantrell from Churnet Valley Farmers who led walks with Mark around the meadows, and unpacked the moth trap from the night before, and we really appreciated the lovely volunteers who worked hard to keep everyone supplied with tea and cake. What a day! We hope to see some of you next Sunday for ‘Painting in the Landscape’ &nature

This ‘en plein air’ painting day’ is on Sunday the 20th of July and you can drop in anytime. We’re supported with funding towards the day from OUTSIDE and hope you can join us!

We hope you can join us, a week on Sunday when the sun will shine and the light will illuminate the landscape here. It’s a great place to paint … an interesting landscape to explore. You’ll need to bring your own materials and lunch, and we will provide tea and cake. Please spread the word! This event is free, and extra parking is available at Stockton Brook Scout & Guide HQ, a short walk through the field. We are really happy that the day is supported by a grant from and we hope you’ll also have time to explore the Parish of Endon and Stanley … there are special places to discover and we’d love to see the work you make.

Thank you to Sam and colleague from S S Scaffolding who took down the scaffolding surrounding the newly renovated doors, the beautiful doors that open right out now! Just before we welcomed Staffordshire Moorlands Creatives to a Summer Meetup hosted by on Friday, then our visitors to National Meadows Day on Saturday. We’ve been busy!

We are looking forward to a sparkling day on Saturday as we celebrate National Meadows Day here in the Staffordshire Moorlands. This year we’re in the Stockton Brook Scout & Guide HQ as usual, but also, we’re in the engine hall of the Stockton Brook Waterworks for wonderful drawing nature workshops with & and also a performance at 1.00pm by the Milton Ukelele group! Come along … free admission and just a small charge for art workshops. Tea & cake too. There’s a link for tickets in our bio.

We welcome you to celebrate National Meadows Day here on Saturday July the 5th. You’ll find more information and a link to book tickets under our bio, or type in the link above. .loveplants set up this day across the country and some years ago, we decided to join in! Tickets usually fly out, so book soon.
This year we are delighted to welcome the Milton Ukelele Group to perform at the Waterworks at 1.00pm. Our first musical performance there!

OUTSIDE's wellbeing project, , is well and truly back! 🎉

Not only are we visiting Biddulph Grange Country Park with Eleanor Hooper, and Stockton Brook Waterworks with Anthony Hammond, but we're also visiting Dimmingsdale with James Brunt! 🍃

The first session with James Brunt in Dimmingsdale will be next week, 20 May, 10am-12pm for self referral and 1:30pm-3:30pm for community/social prescriber referral. 🌳

We invite you to join us in July at Stockton Brook Waterworks and throughout the Parish of Endon with Stanley (and that includes Stockton Brook) for a day of painting together outside .. our first ‘en plein air’ day at the Waterworks. We have funding towards this exciting event from the brilliant organisation - This day is for everyone. You’ll have the landscape around the Waterworks, the building, the Caldon canal too … lots of inspiration! We’d also like to include our Parish, so please do let us know if there are interesting/beautiful/important to you places that would be good to draw or paint.
