😻 Orphy quickly found his ‘furever’ home and as you can see, is settling in really well. It looks like he’s always been there doesn’t it! 😻

😹 LET’S TALK CAT WEE! 😹

🐾 Did you know your cat’s p*e can reveal a lot about their health?

It might sound odd, but keeping an eye on your cat’s litter habits can help you spot early signs of issues like infections, kidney disease, or even diabetes.

👀 What to watch for:
• Changes in frequency (more or less than usual)
• Color differences (cloudy or pink/red = vet visit!)
• Strong or unusual smells
• Peeing outside the litter tray

💡 Healthy cats typically p*e 2–4 times a day, and their urine should be a clear, pale yellow.

🚨 Important:
If your cat is straining, p*eing very little, or not p*eing at all — this is an emergency. Contact your vet immediately.

Cats are masters at hiding illness, so even small changes matter. Knowing your cat’s “normal” could make all the difference 💛

I had the pleasure of looking after the gorgeous Mavis again last week. We had a whale of a time together (even though we were both a bit hot!) 🥵 Mavis enjoyed her kitty yoghurt from the fridge and was great company all week. What a little superstar she is! ⭐️😻

😻 KITTEN UPDATE 😻

Through no fault of his own, our gorgeous Black and Silver tabby kitten, Orpheus, is now seeking a 5⭐️🏡. Very sadly his potential owners have suffered unexpected ill-health and now is not the right time for them to have this little bundle of joy in their lives. 😿. As you can see he’s a total love bug and such a purr bucket! 😻 Thank you to Eden Vets for the video (I think they loved Orphy as much as we do!). DM for more info.

Why are cats the masters of balance? It might look like magic, but it’s actually incredible feline science!

🐾 Their super sensitive paw pads are packed with nerve endings that constantly send messages to their brain about what they’re touching, helping them adjust their balance with precision.

🐈 Their tail moves left to right to counterbalance whilst they climb or walk along narrow surfaces.

🐱 Cats are also incredibly flexible because they lack a rigid collarbone, allowing their shoulders to move freely and their paws to step perfectly in line.

If their balance is slightly off, they also have a built-in ability called the ‘righting reflex’. When they start to fall, sensors in their inner ear detect which way is up, allowing them to twist mid-air and land on their paws. Their flexible spine lets them rotate the front and back halves of their body separately, while stretching their legs to absorb impact when they land.

Despite this amazing ability, it’s a myth that cats always land on their feet. As they get older, they may struggle more with their balance.
