Hello and happy 2026 🥳

I have (again) fallen off the planet, for a few good reasons!

2025 has been absolutely off it’s head! But… here we are and we now have some answeres and working on, well… everything.

has and continued to keep us busy. We have had a bit of a turbulent year with illness, not easy when we are such a small knit team but we are doing our very best and about to welcome Amanda back after fighting cancer which we can’t wait for 💪🏼

Personal life, well that’s been a bit of a struggle too. Our little girl is 7 and has recently been diagnosed with autism and ADHD. Navigating a neurodivergent child who masks has been somewhat challenging because on the outside, unless you know autism/ADHD you wouldn’t know. The mask has slipped overtime so at least now people see our struggles. Honestly, I swear people think I’m mental and have imagined it all. Well, I haven’t and I have now stopped beating myself up and no longer blaming myself for her meltdowns, conventional parenting doesn’t work and since diagnosis, it’s been a lot easier.

Along with this, I have also been diagnosed with ADHD. Now imagine parenting a child who needs structure, organisation and I barely know where my head is and my own name most days while juggling a shop and staff in the mix.

This ain’t no woe me post, I’m all good, just picking up the pieces and sorting life out bit by bit 🙂

So a little update on Sew Very Pretty UK! I have been struggling to juggle two businesses where accounts are concerned. I have made the decision to migrate SVPUK to So Very Dog, socials for Sew Very Pretty UK will remain, looking to migrate stock over to So Very Dog website and I will be shutting the Sew Very Pretty UK website down. Etsy and EBay will remain with the rebrand.

We’re exploring an exciting opportunity and want to hear from you!

As a small, friendly dog shop that’s been proudly supported by the local community since we opened in August 2023, we’re considering expanding our services by welcoming a professional dog groomer to join our team.

At this stage nothing is set in stone, we’re just putting the feelers out to see who might be interested and what would make this opportunity appealing. So if you’re a groomer (or know someone who is), we’d love your input…

Here’s what we could offer:

We imagine you’d need to bring:

🤍 Proof of grooming qualifications and experience
🤍 Your own tools (scissors/clippers) if you would prefer.
🤍 Having your own customer base would be fabulous but certainly not essential

We’d love to know:
