I just wanted to say a huge thank you to every single one of you for your understanding over the last few days. โค๏ธ

I'm so sorry that I had to cancel all of my sessions. Thank you for giving me the time and space to grieve. It means more to me than you will ever know.

I will be in touch with everyone to reschedule your sessions as soon as I possibly can.

I have one small favour to ask. When we meet again, please don't ask me how I am. I'm still completely heartbroken, and I know if you ask, I'll probably fall apart. If we can just focus on you and your wonderful dogs, it will help me more than you can imagine.

It is with the heaviest heart that I have to tell you all that our beautiful Mellow passed away today on the operating table.

Our hearts are completely shattered.

She was the gentlest, kindest soul. The dog who loved everyone without question and brought light wherever she went. So many of you met her at pack walks, training sessions, or simply through my posts, and you all knew just how special she was.

I take comfort in believing that she is no longer in pain and is now over the Rainbow Bridge, reunited with her wonderful mum, Luna. I like to imagine them running together again, happy, free, and surrounded by endless fields.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for every prayer, kind message, and thought you sent today. Your support has meant more than I can ever put into words.

Please bear with me over the coming days. I need to take some time away to grieve the loss of my beautiful girl and be with my family. I will reply to messages and rearrange appointments as soon as I am able.

Hold your dogs a little tighter tonight. They leave paw prints on our hearts that can never be erased.

Due to a family emergency, all dog training sessions scheduled for today and tomorrow have been cancelled.

Our beautiful Mellow is in surgery today, and right now my family needs me by her side.

If you can, please say a little prayer for our baby. โค๏ธ๐Ÿพ

Mellow is the most loving soul you could ever meet. She is sunshine on the darkest days, and everyone who has ever met her has fallen in love with her instantly. She brings so much joy to everyone around her.

Please don't ask what happened, as I'm not ready to talk about it. I'm already heartbroken.

I sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and truly appreciate your understanding. I will contact everyone affected to rearrange your sessions as soon as I can.

Thank you so much for your kindness, support, and prayers. They mean the world to us.

Your dog is NOT being โ€œdramaticโ€ in this weatherโ€ฆ
Dogs can overheat incredibly quickly, and heatstroke can become fatal in minutes. ๐Ÿ’”

As much as we all love adventures, walks and sunshineโ€ฆ some days our dogs simply need:
๐Ÿ’ฆ water
๐ŸŒณ shade
โ„ cooling opportunities
๐Ÿง  enrichment at home
โค๏ธ and rest

Flat-faced breeds, puppies, senior dogs, overweight dogs, bull breeds and dogs with breathing difficulties need EXTRA care in warm weather. But honestly? ANY dog can struggle when temperatures rise.

A few reminders from your local Mad Dog Lady ๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿ‘‡

๐Ÿพ If the pavement is too hot for your hand for 5 secondsโ€ฆ Itโ€™s too hot for paws
๐Ÿพ Skip midday walks
๐Ÿพ Never leave dogs in cars โ€” even โ€œfor a minuteโ€
๐Ÿพ Sniffy enrichment and short training games at home can replace long walks
๐Ÿพ Cooling mats, frozen Kongs, paddling pools and shaded rest breaks are your best friends
๐Ÿพ Watch for excessive panting, drooling, lethargy, wobbliness or vomiting
