Today we spent the day in Regensburg, Germany and we visited Dackel Museum! ๐Ÿ˜

We learnt so many facts about dachshunds that we didnโ€™t know and saw so many amazing exhibitions ๐Ÿฅน

We were also very lucky to meet the wonderful owners and their sausages and best believe we got some goodies from the gift shop!

Did you know that if it has been 10 years from the issue date on your passport, some EU countries will not let you past the boarder as it will be classed as expired, even if the expiry date is after this? Well, we didnโ€™t ๐Ÿ˜‚ and last night we realised that my mumโ€™s passport would not be valid for her to leave the UK and enter France. The expiry date isnโ€™t until November but it has been 10 years since the issue date. Soโ€ฆwe are no longer setting off for our trip tomorrow. We did think about going just me, dad and the boys, and then mum flying out to us, but it wouldnโ€™t be the same and we want to travel as a family. We have managed to book an emergency appointment for next week so my mum can get a new passport. Sometimes things donโ€™t go to plan and thatโ€™s okay, there are much worse things happening in the world and we are very grateful and lucky to be able to go away with the dogs in the first place. Im also a strong believer that everything happens for a reason, every cloud has a silver lining and I like to look at the positives. We just want to share our experience to make sure nobody else makes the same mistake thinking their passport is still in date when it might not be. We are still going on holiday, but we will have to leave a few days later than planned, amend some bookings and our paw-tinerary has had to change slightly ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ๏ธ at least we have a sunny weekend in Trentham before we set off โœŒ๐Ÿผโ˜€๏ธ
