A Bittersweet Update from The Stuffed Hound: A Paws-itive Pause, Not a Goodbye! 🐾
Hey wonderful pack!
Hope you're all having a fantastic day, full of happy barks and wagging tails! First things first, we need to shower you with so much gratitude that it might just make your fur stand on end. For over four incredible years, you, our amazing community of pet parents, have welcomed The Stuffed Hound into your lives.
You haven't just bought treats; you've shared your joy, your loyalty, and your incredible enthusiasm for our little dream. Every single happy feedback photo, every kind word, every repeat order – it's all fuelled our passion and made this journey more wonderful than we ever imagined. From the bottom of our (very full) treat jar, thank you, thank you, thank you! We truly couldn't have fetched this incredible adventure without you. 💖
Now, for the part that's been a little tough to chew on. It’s with a really complicated mix of gratitude and a heavy heart that we're sharing some news. We've made the incredibly difficult decision to put The Stuffed Hound on an extended "sniffari" for a while, meaning we'll be closing our paws-itively delightful shop.
This wasn't a decision we took lightly, trust us! Our hearts are a bit heavy, but life, as it often does, has thrown us some rather large bones that require our full attention. Think of it as needing to navigate a particularly tricky agility course in our personal lives – there is only 2 of us and we both balance other jobs, a pending house move, settling into a new routine, and some significant personal matters that really need our focus right now.
And let's be honest, the economic landscape has been trickier than teaching a squirrel to sit still. That necessary, tiny £1 postage increase in May, while small, turned into a bigger hurdle than we anticipated, leading to a significant dip in sales that just isn’t sustainable for our small business. It truly became the final deciding factor in this heartbreaking situation.
But here's the thing: we're not barking 'goodbye' forever! Consider this not a permanent farewell, but a hopeful "see you at the dog park soon!" 🤞 Once we've navigated through these upcoming personal transitions, found our new comfy spot, and perhaps even learned a new trick or two, we truly hope that The Stuffed Hound will be able to make a triumphant return.
