🚧 A new outdoor canopy is set to be installed at the Park Café in Preston Park on Monday 29 September.

✅ The canopy will provide a covered outdoor seating area and is an addition to the improvements made to the café and toilets earlier in the year.

☕This area will perfect for dog walkers and those who wish to enjoy outdoor seating, while facing onto the children’s play area.

📅 The installation is expected to take two days to complete and the Park Café will remain open throughout the work.

Butterfly World remains open throughout the Summer holidays! 🦋🦋
We are open 7 days a week 10am-4pm

Newly refurbished cafe and the rest of the play park will be open from this Saturday so come along to the park and check it out!

📍The museum will temporarily close from Saturday 26 July to carry out essential work. The museum and its new extension will reopen on Saturday 13 September.

We want the museum to be open to the public as soon as possible but in order to get the new exhibition space open ready to coincide with the S&DR200 festival in September it is necessary to close over the school summer holidays.

We'll be announcing details of the railway inspired exhibitions soon so keep checking back on social media 🚂

Get involved in the Big Butterfly Count this year, there’s many more fluttering about this year which is fantastic to see!! 🦋🦋🦋

So far, over 47,000 of you have taken part in the Big Butterfly Count - thank you! 💚🦋

Over 615,000 butterflies and moths have been recorded, and the Large White is taking the lead for the most spotted butterfly🥇

If you haven't seen any butterflies yet, try not to despair! It's just as important for us to know where there aren't any as well as where there are. There will also be plenty of opportunities to try again over the next few weeks.

Park, Cafe and remaining part of the play area will be fully open this Saturday 26th July 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻

🏗️ Following a multi-million pound extension and investment into wider park improvements, Preston Park Museum's new exhibition space will open to the public on Saturday 13 September.
🖼️ The new, two-storey building provides a space to host national touring exhibitions and showcase more of the museum's fantastic collections, transforming Preston Park into an innovative and inspiring visitor destination.
⛔ While our staff work hard to undertake the final fit out works, the museum will be closed from Saturday 26 July, reopening on Saturday 13 September with an exciting exhibition programme, set to be announced very soon.
☕ Work on an improved play area, toilets and café in the park is almost complete and all will be open to the public on Saturday 26 July. Some areas of the play area are already open for visitors to enjoy.
