No thoughts.
No plans.
No responsibilities.

Just sitting in the same spot, waiting for snacks to magically appear. 👀🍽️

Honestly, if we could spend our days buried in a cosy substrate blanket and only emerge when food arrived, we probably would too.

Lizards have survived ice ages, mass extinctions, and over 200 million years of change. Yet today, some species are struggling to keep pace with a warming world.

Rising temperatures don't just affect where reptiles live – they can influence how much time they spend feeding, how successfully they reproduce, and for some species, even the ratio of males to females being born.

Every species plays a role in the ecosystems we depend on. By understanding the challenges wildlife faces, we can make informed choices that help protect habitats for generations to come.

🦎🥣 Crested gecko baby season is in full swing here in Reptiles!

Here's one of our newest arrivals making themselves right at home... and apparently deciding that a food bowl is the perfect place to relax and excaping the egg! 😴

These little geckos may be tiny, but they're already full of personality. Keep an eye on our pages as more babies continue to hatch throughout the season! 🌿✨

Trying to photograph a Madagascan Giant Day Gecko is a challenge in itself... ⚡🦎

One second they're posing perfectly, the next they've teleported to the other side of the enclosure!

Native to Madagascar, these stunning geckos are known for their incredible green colouration, bright red markings, and lightning-fast speed. They're one of the most eye-catching reptiles in the hobby... if you can keep up with them long enough to get a photo! 📸✨

Here's our sweet reptilian prince sporting his latest fashion accessory... banana around his mouth. Standard Buck behaviour. 🍌

If anyone was ever planning to kidnap him, we'd strongly recommend using bananas as part of the operation. It would almost certainly work.

Most people know the UK’s 3 native snakes… but did you know there’s a FOURTH species living quietly along London’s Regent’s Canal? 🐍

The Aesculapian Snake originally comes from mainland Europe and is believed to have become established in London after escaped or released animals survived and bred decades ago.

Despite their size, they’re completely non-venomous and rarely seen by the public. In fact, many people walk past them every day without ever knowing they’re there.

It just goes to show how adaptable wildlife can really be. 🇬🇧🌿
