A Polite Request to Our Clients 📢

If you request flea and worm treatment from us, please note that we can only hold your order for 14 days.

We are currently receiving a large number of requests, but unfortunately many treatments are not being collected. The photo below shows just half of the treatments we have had to return to stock this week due to non-collection.

To help us manage stock and ensure medication is available for everyone who needs it:

✔️ Please allow 3 working days for your order to be prepared
✔️ We no longer send collection reminder messages, so please make a note of when your treatment will be ready
✔️ If you are unable to collect your order within 14 days, please let us know.

☀️🐾 Heatwave Warning: Take Extra Care of Your Pets
As temperatures rise, it's important to remember that heatstroke can be life-threatening for pets and some are at greater risk than others.

🚨 Brachycephalic (flat-faced) breeds, such as Bulldogs, Pugs, French Bulldogs, Boston Terriers, and Persian cats, can struggle to cool themselves effectively due to their shorter airways. This means they can overheat much more quickly than other pets, even on days that don't feel particularly hot to us.

🐰 Rabbits are also particularly vulnerable to heatstroke. Unlike humans, rabbits cannot sweat and can struggle to regulate their body temperature in hot weather. Make sure they have constant access to shade, fresh water, and cool areas to rest. If your rabbit lives outdoors, consider bringing them inside during the hottest parts of the day if possible.

Skip a walk altogether during extreme temperatures and opt for indoor enrichment instead. Your pet's safety comes first.

⚠️ Signs of heatstroke can include excessive panting, drooling, lethargy, weakness, difficulty breathing, collapse, or seizures. If you notice any of these signs, contact your vet immediately.

Please take extra care during this hot weather, especially if you have a flat-faced, overweight and double-coated dog breeds or rabbits. Prevention is always better than treatment. 🐶🐱🐰

Staff pet Norman the hamster popped in to see us recently for a check up after developing a small abscess.

Say hello to Luna. ❤️

Luna, the beautiful Spaniel puppy came to visit us for a health check and vaccinations.

Of course Andrea, our Care Co-ordinator, was first on the scene and couldn't resist stealing Luna away for some much needed puppy snuggles. 🥰

We think it's safe to say Luna enjoyed all the attention, and we certainly enjoyed having her here.
