🐾 We're Hiring: Cat Sitter – Stockport & Cheadle! 🐱

Are you a cat lover with experience caring for cats and small pets?
Petpals Stockport & Cheadle is looking for a reliable, caring part-time Cat Sitter to visit clients’ homes and make sure their beloved pets are happy, safe, and well looked after while they’re away.
No overnight stays required — just plenty of cuddles, playtime, and peace of mind for owners!

💷 Pay: £12.21 per hour (rising to £12.71 from 1st April)
📍 Location: Stockport, Cheadle & Bramhall
⏰ Flexible hours: Perfect for part-time work around your schedule
✨ Extras: Will include weekends & bank holidays

What we’re looking for:
✔ Experience caring for cats and small pets
✔ Responsible, trustworthy, and conscientious
✔ Own transport and a clean UK driving licence

Hello everyone, I’m Janine Williams, and I’m delighted to introduce myself as the new owner of Petpals Stockport & Cheadle.

Animals have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve spent a lifetime caring for dogs, cats and small animals, and am currently the proud owner of Barney, my lovely Yorkie–Bichon cross, and Daisy, my house rabbit. I’m also a huge cat lover and have been lucky enough to share my life with many wonderful cats over the years.

I’m thrilled to be continuing the fantastic work already established here. You’ll still see the same trusted team and familiar faces caring for your pets — the only change is that I’m now at the helm.

I’d also like to say a heartfelt thank you to Claire Hurr for all the hard work she has put into building such a well-loved and respected local service. We wish her all the very best for the future.

I’m really looking forward to meeting many more of you (and your wonderful pets!) in the coming months and continuing to provide the loving, reliable care that Petpals is known for. 🐶🐱🐰

And just like that, today is my last day owning the business. 🐾

As most of you know, I’m now handing over the lead, but I didn’t want the day to pass without saying a proper thank you. After so many years of dog walks, cat visits, pet sits, messages, keys, muddy paws and all the little daily moments in between, it feels very strange to be signing off.

I also want to say a huge thank you to the team — Manny, Gillian and Amy. They have been absolutely amazing, and I couldn’t have asked for a more caring, reliable and genuinely lovely group of people to work alongside. I’m so pleased that they’ll all be staying on to support Janine and continue caring for your pets, so you’ll still see the same familiar faces and know they’re in the very best hands.

For the last 20 years it has been an absolute privilege to care for your pets and to be trusted with such an important part of your lives. I’ve met so many wonderful people (and their equally wonderful animals!) and I’m so grateful for all the support, loyalty and kindness you’ve shown me over the years.

Although I’m stepping away from ownership, the business is in safe hands with Janine, and I know it will continue to be filled with the same love and care.

Thank you for being such a big part of this chapter of my life — I’ll miss all the familiar faces, wagging tails and purrs more than you know.
