Urban Hounds are fully insured, DBS checked and a Licensed Home Dog Boarder with Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council. The fees are £40 a day for a single dog which will include an overnight stay and two 1 hour walks which can be in a group so they can make some new friends or two solo walks if the dog/s are feeling anxious or nervous. The price also includes all of our days out and trips to the

Garden Centre, Forest walks, Pets at Home, Sale Water Park and play dates with the dogs they bond within their group and any treats/toys they are allowed. During their stay the dogs are allowed, when invited, on the settee for cuddles. If our boarding dogs have trouble settling in and they are used to sleeping with their mum and dad, I am more than happy for the dog/s to sleep in the bedroom. If the dogs are not allowed to to sleep upstairs in their normal routine at home, this will also be adhered to during their stay with us. There is an extra large crate in the dining room (the door is always left open) with luxury orthopaedic memory foam beds and several luxury beds around the house for the dogs to relax and sleep on. We have two toy boxes with safe, eco friendly and enrichment toys for the dog’s to enjoy playing with and a small dog snug upstairs with a little Tepee, ball tent, tv, cushions, blankets and fairy lights which the dogs absolutely love to chill in after a busy day at the forest and the garden centre! 🌿 We’ve had a great time out on our walks this week and got some fab photos of all our dogs out together…
I love the pic of them all on the two tier log, it reminds of a movie trailer for a Disney film..😂

With 90 dogs to walk this week we have had a much needed extra pair of hands on the walks so that we could walk them all safely and in a slightly bigger group, which is really nice to have them all together on a walk on the odd occasion..💜

It’s going to be getter much hotter tomorrow and Friday so we will be walking our morning dogs and dinner time dogs together in the mornings over the next two days so that the afternoon dogs can also be walked but much earlier in the day..☀️😎

Stay hydrated, slap the sunscreen on and if you haven’t got any, you can always find your nearest pub for a bit of shade..😉🍸🐾🤣

🌿 Hellooooooo…

Blimey, I’ve just had a notification saying we haven’t posted for 18 days…😳

Well, hello, how is everyone…😂
I can’t believe it’s been that long since we lasted posted…

We’ve been sooooo busy the last couple of weeks and I was ill for a few days which was really frustrating, I haven’t got time to be ill..😂

We’ve had our lovely little Frenchie Rambo boarding with Keeli, Mack and Tilly last week, after they all went home we had Winnie the Pooh, Penny Beagle and Rosie roo this weekend and we’ve got our lovely little Bojangles boarding with us this weekend coming down it’s been a full house of boarders for the last two weeks..🏡

And…..we’ve finally got the fencing being built this weekend, the tree surgeon is going to remove the 9ft bushes and the fencing company is coming the day after to build the fence…yaaaay! 🏡🐾🌿💜

🌿 We have our gorgeous handsome boy Dukey Duke boarding with us this wee and little Oscar will be joining us to board this evening and Sky will be joining the boys tomorrow to board so it’s a full house of boarders this weekend..😃

Fingers crossed our new 6ft gate and fence should be being built and fitted over the next week or two, it’s been a nightmare trying to find a fencing company with availability before like, Christmas..🙄😂

The boarding dogs seem to love the new house as it’s a bit bigger and the mahoosive garden that costing me a small fortune but it will be worth it in the end..🌿🐾💜

🌿 Good morning,

I have been trying to post for several days but with no WiFi at home at the moment it’s just wizzing round and then doesn’t send so we thought we try again this morning..😃

We are all settled in our new house, I can’t find anything but we’re in..😂

We seem to have a new resident, a little black and white cat called George who comes to visit the guinea pigs, he loves chillin next them but mever bothers them just my Moochie used to do…

I always look forward to his visits, he comes in the morning at 8am and again in the afternoon at 5pm, he’s just so sweet..💜

Even when the dogs are in the garden he just chills on top of the guinea pig house sunning himself not in the least bit bothered about them.. I swear Moochie’s sent him it’s uncanny how alike they are..💜🐾💜🐾

🌿 Oooooh let’s have some piccies, we haven’t posted for a few days with the big move going on..

I absolutely love my new house, it feels like a little holiday home and the dogs are loving the big garden especially chasing the giant bubbles today with our massive bubble wand I bought for them…🫧🌿

We also seem to have a new edition to the house, a little black and white cat called George that comes to visit us, he loves chillin on the Guinea Pig house even when the dogs are in the garden, he’s not bothered about the dogs if he’s got some serious sunbathing to do..😂🐾☀️

I love that he comes to visit me, I do wonder whether Moochie had a word with him and asked him to visit his mum and keep me company..🥰🐾🌿

🌿 We are still moving into our lovely little new house, the dogs love the big garden so we’re spending the afternoon over here today…

I can’t wait until we’ve finally fully moved in, the house has such a lovely feel to it, it has so much natural sunlight with all the windows…

With the size of the garden it looks like I’ll be spending a fair amount of time gardening, gonna have to invest in a lawnmower, some hedge trimmers and a lot of bird food..😃🌿🐾🏡

🌿 We still have our two handsome Red Foxes Ernie and Dougie boarding with us…

They love our new house and had a great time playing and rolling around on the grass in the garden while we have been slowly moving things over so we don’t upset our boarding dogs with all the changes going on..🏡

We haven’t completely moved in yet, our final day to move in is 17th May so we will definitely be in the new house from that date..😃💜

🌿 Well…the girls totally excelled themselves today rolling in fox 💩 at Happy Valley..🤢

I was gagging in the car in the way to Pets at Home, thanks for that ladies..😂

All I could see was little Maggie’s feet in the air while she was rolling down the bank backwards smearing the 💩 from head to toe swiftly followed by Mrs Tilly Bobbles who literally threw herself on it and promptly follows Maggie moo smearing the poo nicely all over, so it was straight to Pets at Home after the walk for a nice bubble bath…funnily enough they didn’t look quite as thrilled in the bath as they were at Happy Valley in the poo..🤣🤣💩💦

🌿 Another beautiful day at the office...😃

Not many people have the sun streaming through the trees, the birds singing, the sound of the river and the smell of all the different flowers as you walk through the forest at their office..😂

We’ve got our gorgeous girl Maggie moo, Winnie the Pooh and Mrs Tilly Bobbles boarding with us and then it’s all change tomorrow when Dougie and Ernie come to board for Easter…🐣🐾☀️💜

🌿 There’s always one place you can find us after our walks on a sunny day…our local pub The Jolly Sailor..😂☀️

Waaaaay too warm to be cooking today after all those walks and far too time consuming when you can just chill in the beer garden and wait for your tea to be served in the sun....😃🍷

🌿 It’s so nice to back with our dogs again after having a week off…

We’ve had a lovely day out with our boarding dogs Sky and Tia at Quarry Bank Mill…☀️

Such a beautiful day for the dogs to explore in the forest and swim in the river, they made some new friends today at the cafe so we’re going to meet up with them again next week..😃
