Brodie is one of our faves and the largest dog we treat at the Clinic! Such a gorgeous soul and yes, mum always brings a healthy amount of cheese with her at all times!

Super important to keep giants breeds’ hips healthy as they grow at a super fast rate. This means they’re more susceptible to joint issues as the get older.

We’ve had so many requests for updates so thought we’d share that Fiona welcomed a little boy early January. Fiona and Family are doing incredibly well and are getting used to life as a family of 5.

Grace has been doing a wonderful job whilst Fiona gets to grips with newborn baby life on maternity leave.

Many of you know that Fiona is taking a wee break to bring another little human in to the world 👶🤰🍼.

There’s been a TONNE of work going on in the background and we’re thrilled to have Grace take up the helm of running Hydrohounds. Grace has been with Hydrohounds for almost 2 years and knows the place inside out. That means she will be your main point of contact moving forward regarding invoice queries, operations and insurance claims…what a trooper! All scheduling queries will be handled by your regular hydrotherapist so make sure you have their numbers saved!

For now, Fiona will be taking the next few months to fully get back into the world of baby-raising in the knowledge that Hydrohounds is in safe hands with Grace.

Speak to you all very soon and of course Fiona will update you all on the little babs once it’s joined the world! 🌍

Goodbye to a MEGA 2025 and hellooooooo 2026! ✨

THANK YOU to all of our wonderful owners and partners for a huge year of growth, enabling us to offer more than “just” hydrotherapy 💦

- We’ve worked with on helping many of our sensitive dogs overcome their nerves and get the treatment they need 💙

- Our pain & acupuncture clinic with .wellness.wirral has had unbelievable results on dogs that have had been through tonnes of avenues with vets with limited improvements. Esme is remarkable and 2026 will be a huge year for us!

- Grace, Klaudia & Fiona being both veterinary physiotherapists and hydrotherapists enables us to provide incredible treatment. We’re seeing extraordinary improvements every day!

- Special mention to Grace who is our lead physiotherapist and is taking on the vital operational role whilst Fiona goes on Maternity Leave 🤰. Could not be prouder of Grace and how far she’s come!

2026 will come with a lot of changes and of course challenges with Fiona being on leave to raise her second tiny human. So we thank you all in advance for your patience, kindness & understanding!

In all seriousness it’s wonderful to see a dog with chronic pain be able to relax like this on their first session 🥹.

Acupuncture helps to stimulate the parasympathetic “rest & digest” nervous system, hence the unplanned snoozes that occur in our treatment room!

Means we can also chat over a brew ☕️ too!

Ho Ho Hi everyone! As Christmas draws near, we see a big shift in bookings and of course, those PESKY electricity bills with sub-zero temperatures outside 🥶❄️

Therefore, the pool will be operating condensed hours from Monday 8th December through to the New Year. These hours are as follows:

Sunday: 9am - 2pm
Monday: Open as usual. 9am - 8pm
Tuesday: 12pm - 8pm
Wednesday: Closed all day
Thursday: 12pm - 8pm
Friday: Open as usual. 10am - 6pm

Christmas and New Year Opening Times:

22nd & 23rd December - OPEN AS USUAL
24th, 25th, 26th, 27th & 28th December - CLOSED
29th & 30th December - OPEN AS USUAL
2nd Jan onwards - OPEN AS USUAL

Hope the barrage of information hasn’t caused too much confusion! Feel free to get in touch with any of us if you have questions. Your usual hydrotherapist will work with you to move any sessions around if needed and hopefully with plenty of time!
