After an amazing 5 years, our wonderful Charlie is leaving us. We are now looking for some additional help on the yard on a Sunday, ideally all day but would consider mornings for the right person, as well as ad hoc cover for holidays and competitions.
We are a small yard with between 6-7 competition horses, with a mixture of some living in and some out in the summer.
We are a tidy yard with excellent routines and high standards.
This job has worked alongside college students providing excellent experience for those studying horse care or management. Or perfect as a part-time position as there is additional hours most weeks of wanted.
Our horses are polite and mannerly, the yard is compact mainly covered, meaning protection from the worst of the weather.
We do have one stallion but he doesn’t know it 😂 and full support and training can be given to develop the right person’s confidence in dealing with stallions and competition horses.
Usual yard jobs - mucking out, all beds are rubber matted, most with auto waterers.
Filling nets.
Getting ready and turning out and bringing in.
Poo picking.
Tacking up and untacking.
Grooming and or washing off.
For the right person training for formal exams could be provided.
While predominantly we are a dressage focused yard, Emma also does showing and is exceptional at turnout and would be happy to share her turnout talents.
