Because nothing says “I love my pet” like that lovely surprise on the carpet… at 3am… barefoot… 😅

🐾 Buffy’s big “grown-up” day! 🐾

This weekend, I had the pleasure of spending a cosy Saturday night with the lovely Buffy 💛🐕 — a beautiful young Golden Retriever who is officially entering her teenage era (send snacks and patience 😄)

As Buffy starts to explore her independence and earn her parents’ trust, yesterday was a BIG milestone… her first day home alone!

I’m very happy to report that she absolutely nailed it 👏✨
No mischief, no chaos… just a very good girl who made it very easy for me to send a glowing “pupdate” to her humans 📲🐾

We celebrated with a couple of lovely walks and plenty of fuss (Buffy insists this is non-negotiable). She was an absolute joy — so smart, happy, and switched on. You can almost see the cogs turning as she learns and takes everything in 🧠💫

Of course, like any teenager, we’ve got a few things we’re working on together — recall and loose lead walking are on the agenda… but with brains like hers, I think she’ll be top of the class in no time 🎓🐶

I’m already looking forward to many more adventures (and cuddles) with this gorgeous girl 💛

🐾 Axel vs. The Rope… ROUND 2 🐾

Caught in action: Axel taking his tug-of-war duties very seriously on the living room rug 💪🐕

This wasn’t just a game… this was a full-on championship match.
The opponent? A very large rope toy.
The referee? Me (biased, underqualified, and losing).

There were spins. There were dramatic flops. There was intense eye contact mid-tug that said, “You will not win this.” 😳😂

Safe to say… Axel remains undefeated. 🏆

After the chaos? Back to being a big softie, of course — but in that moment, he was ALL business.

🐾 Axel the “site inspector” is back… and still taking his job VERY seriously 🐾

I had the absolute pleasure of my second pet sitting visit with Axel, and I’m pleased to report… nothing has changed 😄

We made the most of some beautiful scenic walks together 🌿🐕 - plenty of fresh air, exploring, and (of course) stopping to admire the views. Although I should mention… Axel was far more interested in supervising me while I enjoyed a slice of cake and a milkshake overlooking the River Arun 👀🍰🥤
(Strong judgement. Zero sharing. Tough crowd.)

Back at home, it was business as usual:
🎾 Lively games of tug (which I may or may not have lost)
🧸 Maximum goofiness levels
🪮 Followed by some very well-earned brushing time

And naturally… 🚨 the bath tap received multiple inspections throughout the day. Happy to confirm it remains under strict supervision.

Axel really is the perfect mix of big, bouncy character and total sweetheart - I think he’s decided I’m part of his team now 🐾❤️

🎬 Rocky’s Great Grass Expedition! 🌾🔍

Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it’s Rocky the Jack Russell on a very serious mission! 💨

Check out those hops! 🐰 Rocky spent our walk leaping through the long grass, part-kangaroo and part-detective. He was on a high-stakes mission to find… well, we’re not entirely sure, but he was 100% committed to the cause!

Whether he’s checking his "p*e mail" or searching for hidden treasures (or maybe just another Timmy the Turtle?), this energetic young man certainly knows how to make a walk an adventure. Watching those ears bounce was the best part of my day! 😍✨

🐾 Easter Weekend Update: The Return of the Kisser! 🐾

It was such a delight to spend the second half of my Easter weekend with a familiar (and very enthusiastic) face — the one, the only, Rocky the Jack Russell! 🐶✨

As always, Rocky greeted me with his signature move: an endless supply of "excited kisses." Honestly, this boy is never stingy with affection! When he wasn’t busy showering me with love, he was demanding his fair share of cuddles and tummy tickles.

The biggest surprise? His favourite toy, Timmy the Turtle (Version 2.0), has actually survived for two visits in a row! 🐢💪 A new record for this athletic young man!

Out on our walks, Rocky is a total dream — though he’s a busy professional when it comes to his "p*e mail." He certainly makes sure he’s up to date with all the local gossip! 📧🐕💨

I was sad to say goodbye to this sweet boy, but I know he’s over the moon to have his humans back home. See you soon, Rocky!

Engage "Turbo Mode." 🚀
Bounce. Then bounce some more. 🐾
Check the bath tap (because you can never be too sure). 💧🧐

I had the absolute pleasure of pet sitting the handsome Axel for the first time this weekend, and let me tell you, this boy is just a giant teddy bear with so much character! 🧸🐾

He definitely keeps things lively! Whether he’s winning a game of tug, "announcing" himself to the neighbourhood, or bouncing around the garden like a big puppy, there is never a dull moment with him. 🗣️

When the day finally winds down, he’s a total sweetheart who loves a good brushing. He also takes his job as "site inspector" very seriously, regularly checking in on the bath tap to make sure it’s behaving itself! 🛀😂

I honestly can’t wait to see this big lad again soon. Thanks for having me, Axel! ❤️🐕
