The FIFA World Cup is almost here, and we've been busy scouting the world's top canine talent.

Over the coming weeks, each nation will be represented by a dog breed chosen to match its origin, footballing style, strengths, weaknesses, and personality.
From powerful centre-backs to lightning-fast wingers, every dog will have its own:
🏃‍♂️ Speed Rating
💪 Strength Rating
🤸 Agility Rating
📋 Physio File
🔋Massage Power-Up

Will the English Bulldog bulldoze its way through the tournament?
Can the Spanish Water Dog outmanoeuvre the competition?
And which breed will be crowned our Canine World Cup Champion?

So before VAR gets involved, remember this is all just a bit of fun! Not every nation has a recognised native breed, so some countries are represented by what we think is the next best canine ambassador. The injury profiles, physio notes and massage suggestions are based on general breed characteristics and common considerations seen in practice, and are intended as light-hearted educational content rather than veterinary or therapeutic advice.

Follow along as we reveal the groups throughout the tournament and see which four-legged footballers make it all the way to the final.

👇 Which country are you backing to lift the trophy? And which dog breed would you pick to represent them?

Huge thanks to everyone who visited my stand today, as usual I've only managed to grab a few photos as it was a bit of a famine or feast day, with a Q at one point, I'm sorry if the wait was too much for you🙏.

The Cooling Station was a great hit, with my client Hugo showing them all how to use the paddling pool and cool mat was also very much appreciated by your lovely doggies

Another great event organised by the superb team at Abingdon Local Excellence Markets

Huge thanks to Daniel for organising Steventon Artisan Market yesterday.
What a lovely morning we had, the market was busy with loads of visitors and owners brining their dogs to visit me. I was so busy, I forgot to take pictures.

I'll be back at the Steventon Artisan Market on the 5th September 2026 see you there.

Yesterday seemed to be a day to talk about the complexity of knees and Luxating Patella in dogs.
I saw several dogs living with a mixture of grades ( there are 4, Grade 1 being of very limited impact, with Grade 4 requiring expert support and often surgery) of this very complex condition.

This condition is where a dog’s kneecap (patella) slips out of its normal position in the groove of the thigh bone.

You might notice that your dog may display some of these symptoms:
Skipping or hopping on a back leg
Suddenly lifting a leg for a few steps
Difficulty jumping or using stairs
Stiffness or reduced movement
In more severe cases, a more frequent limp
Some dogs show very mild signs, while others may become more uncomfortable over time.

How can Clinical Canine Massage Help?
It plays a powerful supporting role in improving comfort, stability, and movement.
● Improves Muscle Balance Around the Knee
● Reduces Pain & Discomfort
● Supports Better Movement Patterns
● Aids Rehabilitation & Strength Work
● Can Slow Progression in Some Cases
● Supports the Whole Dog – Not Just the Knee

Supporting comfort, movement, and quality of life— for changes you can see and your dog can feel 🐾
