Today’s walk with Ozzy was definitely a soggy one! The woodland paths gave us some shelter from the rain, but once we reached the lakes, it was a different story. I don’t think I’ve ever seen the area so quiet—it felt almost surreal, like a scene from a movie. I was half expecting a zombie to appear from nowhere! There was a strange atmosphere about the place today, but Ozzy didn’t seem to mind. He was having a great time trying (and failing!) to chase the ducks and geese. The only other people we spotted were two joggers!

Today, the slave returned. Naturally, I resumed my important supervisory duties.

First, I successfully removed all the balls from my favourite toy and strategically distributed them throughout the house. This prompted the human to crawl around on her hands and knees searching for them. Excellent enrichment activity for her.

Then she emptied my litter tray. While she was distracted dealing with the rubbish, I noticed the tray was completely clean and empty of litter.

Now, I don’t like to brag, but my timing was impeccable.

I marched straight in and peed in it.

The look on her face was worth every second.

Humans are so funny. They spend ages cleaning things and then act surprised when I immediately use them for their intended purpose.

Anyway, I’m exhausted from managing the household. Time for a 6-hour nap.

Monday walkies with my buddy Frankie 🐾

A lovely, slow-paced stroll in the sunshine today, just how we like it. We took our time, enjoyed plenty of sniffs, and made the most of the beautiful weather. ☀️

With no water stops available like there are around the lakes, we made sure to have a couple of pit stops for hydration along the way. Keeping cool and comfortable is always a priority, especially on warmer days.

A happy dog, fresh air, and a relaxed walk—perfect! ❤️

Monday walkies with Ozzy today, and hubby tagged along too! 🐾

We were approached by a dog trainer who was out with some clients, and they just had to stop and give Ozzy some love. ❤️

It’s amazing who you can meet while out on your dog walks. A simple chat turned into exchanging phone numbers, and they kindly offered to pass my details on if they receive any enquiries for solo walks.

You never know where your next opportunity will come from—one of the many reasons I love what I do! 🐶

Indoor cats still need opportunities to explore, play, and engage their natural instincts. 🐾

Whether it’s a wand toy, puzzle feeder, climbing tree, or a cardboard box, enrichment can provide valuable mental and physical stimulation while helping to keep life interesting.

These two clearly enjoyed their play session — although it looks like they’ve managed to remove all the feathers from their wand toy since my last visit! 😂

Little lunchtime pop-in for Frankie boy today whilst his human enjoyed a day out. Carried over to the shaded trees like a King across the road from her flat so he could have a toilet break twice to avoid the hot paths ❤️🐶🐾 lots of play time, hydration and sloppy kisses
