Good morning everyone,

I’m happy to share that we now have a confirmed moving date of the 4th or 5th of November. I’ll be doing my best to reschedule anyone who is already pre-booked around that time so your pooch can be seen before we move.

After the move, I’ll be taking a few weeks off to get everything set up.l for the remaining pre booked grooms.

I’ll be in touch over the next few days if your appointment is affected.

If your pooch can’t wait that long, I highly recommend grooming who currently have plenty of appointments available. I will tag her page in the comments.

Hi everyone,

I wanted to share an important update with you all.

Since announcing my upcoming house move, I’ve experienced a significant loss of clients, which has unfortunately made it difficult to sustain Mel’s Dog Wash as a full-time business. For the time being, I’ve made the difficult decision to step back from grooming and take on another job until I’m in a position to rebuild my client base.

This means that Mel’s Dog Wash will not be continuing in the same way as before. I know this may be disappointing, and I truly appreciate your understanding and support.

I will still honour the appointments I currently have booked, although my availability will be slightly different. If you have an appointment outside these hours, I may need to adjust it with your agreement:
• Monday: after 1pm
• Tuesday: all day
• Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: evenings (1 appointment only)

Please rest assured that I’ll give you plenty of notice if any changes are required.

I am more than happy to recommend other trusted 1-to-1 groomers in the Staveley area if you need to make alternative arrangements.

This decision has been incredibly hard for me, but I need to prioritise my health and well-being right now. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your loyalty, kindness, and support over the years. I’ve absolutely loved looking after your dogs and will treasure the bond I’ve built with them and with you.

I am happy to answer any questions you may have and I will get back to you later today.

My dogs are definitely feeling the heat and are flat out.

With my groom room still being super hot all appointments will resume as normal on Monday when it’s a little cooler.

🌞 Weather update 🌞

Once again we have another heatwave. I may have to make some adjustments/reschedule some grooms.

I will keep a close eye on the temperature and keep you all updated if this will effect you.
I deeply apologise if this does however I would rather your pooches be safe and comfortable.

Older dogs, puppies, dogs with health conditions, brachycephalic breeds such as pugs, boxers and frenchies etc and dogs that love to move on the table will be rearranged for their own safety.

I hope you will all understand, I know it isn’t ideal because your pooch needs a groom to get rid of some hair but it’s not worth taking the risk for the sake of waiting until the weather is a little cooler next week.

Fresh water, the air con and cooler shower temperature will be provided to help keep them cool.
