🌞 Is everyone enjoying the Bank Holiday sunshine? 🌞

It’s unusually hot out there for a Bank Holiday — not something we get to say very often! 😎🍦

While we’re all making the most of the weather, please remember our furry friends can struggle in the heat much quicker than we do. Dogs can overheat fast, and hot pavements can burn paws in seconds.

🐾 Walk early morning or later in the evening
🐾 Keep plenty of fresh water available
🐾 Never leave dogs in cars
🐾 Avoid heavy exercise in the heat
🐾 Check pavements with the back of your hand — if it’s too hot for you, it’s too hot for paws

Enjoy the sunshine, but keep those pets cool! 🌞🐾

What a great day down at The Olympic Pub Draycott in Draycott today! ☀️🐾

A big thank you to everyone who came along and supported us — it really does mean a lot. We did have to pack up a little earlier than planned because it was just too hot… never thought I’d be saying that on a bank holiday weekend! 😅

It was a cracking family day out at a lovely pub, with a great play area for the kiddies too — something that’s getting harder to find these days.

And as for the pint of Murphy’s… well, it would have been rude not to! 🍺

Definitely well worth a visit. Thanks again to The Olympic for having us, and to everyone who stopped by to say hello.

☀️ TODAY’S THE DAY — and it’s going to be EL SCORCHIO! ☀️

We’ll be out in the wild today at The Olympic, Draycott for the Family Fun Day from 11:00am to 4:00pm.

Come down and see us — we’ll have plenty of goodies from The Pet Box, including natural treats, toys, accessories and more. 🐾

And let’s be honest… even if you’re just popping down for a drink in the sun, that sounds like a good enough excuse to us! 🍻😎

⚠️ Hot weather dog reminder:
Please take extra care with your furry friends today. Make sure they have plenty of shade and fresh water, avoid hot pavements, and don’t walk them during the hottest part of the day. If the ground is too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for their paws.

Watch out for signs of heatstroke such as heavy panting, drooling, weakness, sickness or looking wobbly — and always contact a vet if you’re worried.
