The North Pennine Ferret Welfare & Boarding opened in October 2009 when we moved to County Durham in the North East of England. Barrie has owned ferrets for many years, on and off, since 1952, as pets and working, so it seemed the right way to go due to the fact that there are a lot of unwanted ferrets out there who need a safe haven and more people who want to keep them as pets but need some guidance.
