Great Scot Grooming Show 2026 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

A quick drive to Scotland after work on Fri, now headed home after a fab day in the grooming ring!

Firstly, what a great show! Lovely atmosphere, judges, entertainment, venue! For anyone on the fence about going, would highly recommend!

Kim started off the day in the morning with Copper in handstrip intermediate. She came 2nd, her first placing in a grooming competition! Thank you to all her friends in the showing world for giving great trips and advice, because she bettered herself this time around with her work on Copper!

It was Carly’s turn then in the afternoon with Vinnie in Open Poodle - we won! 🥳

Super proud to secure our 2nd win in open poodle class, our second golden scissor award, and this time it was with Vinnie, which makes it a win with each of the boys 🤎🖤

Not too long left on our 600+ mile round journey, two very tired pups in the back along with two very happy (but tired) groomers. A well earned rest for them after being so good for us 🥰

Experienced Dog Groomer Wanted – Join Our Award-Winning Team

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced groomer to join our team in Stamford, Lincolnshire on a self-employed basis part time. 2/3 days available.. This is an ideal opportunity for a groomer who not only takes pride in their work but also wants to be part of a supportive, ambitious team environment.

Anyone looking to apply must:

- Be reliable and have good time keeping

- Put the dogs welfare first

- Take pride in their work

- Have good customer service skills

- Have great attention to detail

- Confident in breed standard trims, pet trims and hand stripping to a high standard

- Be passionate about grooming and learning new skills

- Able to work independently and as part of the team

Able to take on any aspects of the role with confidence - which could include answering the phone, taking bookings, diary management, grooming, cleaning up, taking payments etc.

Portfolio of work needed on application please. 2 years salon experience minimum - but would consider applicants based on quality of work rather than how long they’ve groomed. Ideally have a Level 2 & 3 City & Guilds Qualification or equivalent.

Percentage rent a table basis - 60/40.

Ability to choose your working schedule, book your own clients. Use of Topline Dogs Booking System.

The salon is fully air conditioned. You'll have use of a hydro bath, stainless steel bath, electric & hydraulic tables, double motor blasters, stand dryers, towels, shampoos, washing machine, WiFi, water, gas and electric.

You'd need to have your own PLI and own handheld equipment.

It's Crufts Week!! We're very excited as you can imagine.

We'll try and keep the updates flowing as we go.

For anyone who's at the show and would like to say hello, Carly is competing in Poodle Open on Thursday afternoon in the first ever Royal Kennel Club Crufts Dog Grooming Competition!

Kim is also joining for her first go on the green carpet in the Jack Russell Terrier showing ring with her pup Copper on Friday.

And last but not least, Vinnie is being trimmed by the amazing on the stand on Friday at 1pm. Hall 5 - Stand 108 - A Modern Trim Demo on a Miniature Poodle 🤎

Sophie is at the salon solo on Thursday and Katie on Friday manning the fort. Please bear with them answering the phone and any walk in nail trims on these days. Thank you guys.

First we headed to Kent to Paws in the Park for the Grooming Grand Slam with Vinnie, second time in the ring for this guy, loads of distractions for him with so many people walking by but overall he did really well, still learning his shape and coat 😅 Super pleased to come away with 1st place Poodle Advanced 🥇 and Reserve Best in Show 🏆 it’s a great little comp, thank you to the judges for the feedback and thinking so highly of Vinnie’s groom and well done Charlotte for your hard work organising it! The following weekend was the first I’m a groomer get me out of hair competition! 💚🌴 super busy show! Really well supported and organised, well done to the for organising. Ronnie was a superstar as always. Thank you to Denise Westbrook for judging and your feedback, really appreciate it, especially when it’s done in the ring as your judged too. 🥈really pleased to come away with 2nd in Open Toy / Miniature Poodle 🐩 love the rosettes 🏵️ 💚 Woop 🙌🏼 Absolutely loving trimming these guys in the ring at the moment 🤎🖤 Now we wait and let the hair grow for 👀

A few of my recent visitors 🐾🐶 also a nudge to book in advance, always a good idea to have at least one if not two grooms ahead to secure your desired schedule, time, day and stylist. Oct - Full - I have limited availability left for Nov and my two weeks prior to Xmas is booked. are filling up too, especially prior to 🎅🎄
