☀️ What a lovely sunny Sunday morning at the Dog Field at Dunston Heath! 🐾💚

We absolutely love seeing so many happy dogs enjoying the field, and we know many of you would happily stay all day if you could! 🐶

To help keep arrivals and departures calm, safe and stress-free for every dog, we just wanted to give a gentle reminder about our session timings:

🟢 50 minutes play session
🟠 5 minutes to pack up & exit the field
⚪ 5 minute buffer before the next customer arrives

⏰ Please help us by vacating the field by :55 past the hour and not arriving more than 5 minutes before your booking time.

These timings are really important to help avoid dogs meeting at the gate, give everyone their full session time, and ensure a relaxed experience for all customers.

We’ve now added new timing signs around the field and in the shelter to make things clearer and easier for everyone 😊

Thank you all for your continued support and for helping us keep the Dog Field at Dunston Heath a safe, enjoyable space for every dog 🐾

☀️🐾 Looks like we’re in for a VERY warm Bank Holiday weekend 😅🌡️

Just a little reminder to all our lovely customers to take extra care when visiting the field during the hotter weather ❤️

To help with the hotter weather… the paddling pool is BACK! 🐶💦

Perfect for dogs who fancy a splash, a cool down, or a full-on paddle party during their visit 😄

Every dog handles heat differently — some will happily bounce around in the sunshine, while others will prefer a slower stroll and plenty of shade 🐶🌿

During the hottest parts of the day, try to avoid too much high-energy play like endless ball throwing or non-stop zoomies 🎾💨

Instead, summer sessions are perfect for:
🐾 Sniffing and exploring
🧠 Nose work and enrichment games
🌿 Gentle wandering around the field
💦 Frequent water breaks
😎 Relaxing in the shade or pool

There’s fresh drinking water available on site for doggies, but please do bring water for yourselves too 💧

Stay safe, stay cool, and we hope you all enjoy some sunshine-filled adventures off the leash at Dog Field at Dunston Heath.

A huge thank you to Brighter Days Rescue for kindly gifting us some free dog balls for our customers to enjoy at the field 🐾🎾

They’re there for everyone to use during your visit, and we hope your dogs have lots of fun with them!

Just a little reminder:
• Please return the balls back to the box after use rather than leaving them around the field.
• If any balls become damaged, please collect them up and dispose of them safely to help keep the field clean and safe for all dogs.

Resident dog Charles from Brighter Days Rescue enjoyed his very first trip to the field earlier today 🐾

Seeing rescue dogs experience the freedom to run, explore and play safely off lead is exactly why we love what we do. Charles looked like he had the best time! ✨
