A huge thank you to everyone who took part in our Summer Adventure at Dog Field at Dunston Heath! It was fantastic to see so many young explorers enjoying the challenge with their four-legged friends. 🐶💚

Every week throughout the summer holidays there’ll be a brand new activity for children to enjoy while visiting the field.

This week’s challenge is…

🔍 Find all 10 Finleys hidden around the field and work out what summer activity he’s enjoying!

❤️ We’re suggesting a £1 donation per child, with 100% of donations going directly to Brighter Days Rescue.

💦 Splash Season is BACK! 🐶

Our old paddling pool certainly had a good innings… after lots of happy paws, zoomies, splashing and plenty of fun, it was definitely starting to show its age! 🐾

We’re pleased to say we’ve finally managed to get our hands on a new paddling pool, and it’s ready for your four-legged friends to enjoy. 🌊

With the warmer weather here, it’s the perfect way for your dogs to cool off, splash about and make the most of their visit.

Some dogs sniff their treats… Finley tries to eat the packaging first! 😂 Thankfully, the wrapper came off just in time, and the CHASE CHEW CO treat earned a definite 10/10 from our official taste tester. 🐾🍪

Field checks don’t stop for a bit of Wet weather! 🌦️

One minute dodging rain showers, the next minute sunshine. Finley doesn’t seem to mind though—he’s too busy keeping an eye on the birds. 🐦‍⬛🐕

🐾 A little reminder about our session timings 🐾

To make sure every dog and owner enjoys their time at Dog Field at Dunston Heath, we kindly ask everyone to follow the session schedule shown below.

⏰ Please arrive no more than 5 minutes before your booking time.
🐕 Your play session lasts 50 minutes.
🚪 Please ensure you have vacated the field by :55 past the hour, allowing time for a safe handover and for the next customer to arrive.

These timings help us avoid dogs crossing paths and ensure every booking starts on time.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation—we really appreciate it and it helps keep the field safe, stress-free, and enjoyable for everyone. 💚

🐾 Benjie and Bruce from Brighter Days Rescue enjoyed a great run around the field today, making the most of the space to stretch their legs and have some fun!

They were joined by some of the dogs belonging to one of the rescue’s amazing volunteers, who were equally keen to explore and burn off some energy. 🐕💨

The biggest hit of the day, however, was the Treat Shed’s gourmet sausages… which seemed to disappear at record speed! 🌭👀 We think it’s fair to say they’ve found their favourite snack.

To full-speed zoomies, plenty of sniffing, and a field all to himself!
