When we're looking for breeders to work with, we're not just looking for beautiful animals - we're looking for people who share our passion for exceptional animal welfare, responsible breeding and educating keepers.

Nature's Window's philosophy really stood out to us. We'll once again be joined by the amazing Graham & Diane, who'll be bringing along a fantastic variety of scaly friends, creepy crawlies and some very special guests! This Thursday was World Snake Day 🥰

World Snake Day is all about celebrating these fascinating animals and helping to raise awareness of the important role snakes play in our ecosystems. They're often misunderstood, but they're truly remarkable creatures deserving of our respect and appreciation.

🦜☀️ KEEPING YOUR BIRDS COOL THIS SUMMER! ☀️🦜

Just like us, birds can appreciate a chance to cool off during hot weather! Many species enjoy a gentle misting or the opportunity to bathe, which can help keep them comfortable and encourage natural preening behaviour.

💦 If you're misting your birds:
- Use a fine mist rather than a direct spray
- Let the mist fall gently over them instead of spraying them in the face.
- Always use clean, room temperature water.
- If your bird isn't interested, don't worry - many prefer a shallow bath instead!

Our budgies were today's volunteers... although we're still trying to decide whether they enjoyed their spa treatment or were plotting their revenge afterwards! 😂

🌞 A little update from us today... 🌞

With temperatures continuing to rise, the welfare of our animals will always come first.

To ensure they're kept as comfortable as possible during the hottest part of the day, and to help protect the wellbeing of our team who are caring for them, we may make the decision to close slightly earlier today if conditions become too warm.

We'll keep everyone updated here if we do need to close early.

In the meantime, don't forget that our small pets need a helping hand in this weather too! 🐹❄️

Just like we do in store, you can help keep your hamster cool by:
❄️ Offering a chilled stone or ceramic tile.
🪨 Providing a slate resting area.
💧 Keeping fresh, cool water available at all times. ☀️ Keeping enclosures out of direct sunlight.

These simple changes can make a big difference during hot weather.
