We’ve built a new monkey bridge for the monkeys to walk across ✨🥰🐒

Now, if you’re visiting this summer, you might see the monkeys at eye level, or even above your head as you walk towards or under the bridge 🐵

The bridge is located in the valley, where the second group of 70 monkeys walk through towards the later parts of the day, when they head towards their sleeping areas of the 60 acre woodland 🌳

We caught a few individuals utilising the brand new bridge yesterday 😍🥹🐒

1️⃣1️⃣ BABY MONKEYS ❤️🐒🥹

Eleven, it’s absolute monkey heaven here at Trentham Monkey Forest 🥰🫶

The latest arrival to the woodland was born high up in the treetops during late July🥳

We’re SO happy to have welcomed 11 babies so far in 2025. Our population of protected Barbary macaques continues to thrive ✨

We think this might be the last arrival of the year, so we’re savouring every moment with these adorable fluffy individuals while they’re still lickle!!

If you fancy a wholesome trip to us this summer, you’re bound to see one of the little ones and hear the pitter patter of tiny, playful feet 🥹👣 ❤️!

20 years of Monkey Memories 🐒❤

Today, Trentham Monkey Forest turns 20 years old 🫶

Since 2005, here in Staffordshire, we have been protecting Barbary macaques - an endangered species with less than 8,000 remaining in the wild.

Here, they live free within a 60-acre forest and can thrive.

They live the Barbary macaque way, and their incredible behaviours are preserved.

Head Guide Anna, who has looked after the monkeys since the very start, tells our story 🐒✨
