One of the most common questions we get asked is, "How often should my dog come for grooming?"
The answer depends on several factors, including their coat type, lifestyle, home maintenance routine, and the style you'd like to maintain. We recommend specific schedules according to this information. But this above gives you an idea ๐ก
As a general guide:
๐พ Curly, long-haired & fluffy styles
Every 4โ6 weeks to prevent matting, maintain coat condition, and keep them looking their best.
๐พ Dogs kept in shorter styles
Every 6โ8 weeks to maintain shape and cleanliness.
๐พ Deshedding breeds
Usually every 4โ8 weeks, or as required, to help manage loose coat and reduce shedding around the home.
๐พ Puppies - We recommend introducing grooming from 12 weeks of age (once vaccinations allow) to help build confidence and create positive grooming experiences from the very beginning.
๐พ Bath & Brush appointments
A great option between full grooms to keep coats fresh, clean, and tangle-free.
Remember, every dog is an individual. What works perfectly for one dog may not be ideal for another. That's why we always provide a personalised grooming plan tailored to your pet's coat, lifestyle, and welfare needs.
