🐾 Brave Max’s First Groom! 🛁

I had the absolute honor of grooming Max the Golden Retriever — and let me tell you, this fluffy boy came in looking like a golden cloud and left looking like a supermodel. 🌟

It was Max’s very first grooming, and he was such a brave, polite gentleman. He sat there like, “I don’t know what’s happening, but I trust you, strange human with the scissors.” 😅

We started brushing and… oh boy. The hair. I think we could’ve made a second Max out of it. Actually, maybe a Max AND a half. At one point he looked back at the pile like, “Are you sure I don’t need that?!”

Max’s reaction to the blow dryer? Equal parts shock, confusion, and “okay this is kinda spa-like.” 💨💅

By the end, he was strutting around like he knew he looked good. Fluffy, clean, and ready to star in a shampoo commercial.

Brave Max, you were amazing. Can’t wait to see you again (and your secret second coat)! 🐶✨💛

🌟 MAX UPDATE 🌟

Max the Newfoundland has officially shed his winter floof and is now feeling approximately 10 degrees cooler and 50% sassier. 😎

He was an absolute star during his clip off – gave us maximum side-eye throughout (a true professional), but was otherwise the goodest of boys. 💅🖤

The whole time, you could see the wheels turning in his fluffy head: “How best do I dramatically collapse on my human once this is over?” Spoiler: he’s still working on it. 💭🐾

🚨 Paws Off the Pavement! Let's Talk Heat Stress in Dogs ☀️🐾

Hey dog lovers! With the temps climbing, it's super important to know the signs of heat stress in our furry besties. Unlike us, dogs can't sweat it out—they rely on panting and us being smart humans. 💦🐶

🛑 Warning signs of heat stress include:

Excessive panting or drooling

Bright red gums or tongue

Lethargy or wobbliness

Vomiting or diarrhea

Collapse or unresponsiveness (emergency!)

🔥 If it’s too hot for you, it’s definitely too hot for them—especially on pavement that can burn their paws in seconds. Skip the midday walk and try these fun alternatives instead:

🎾 Indoor games & activities:

Frozen treat scavenger hunt (hide little ice cubes with treats inside!)

DIY obstacle course with couch cushions and book stacks

Tug-of-war tournaments 🥇

Scent games using their food or favorite toy

Training refreshers—sit, stay, high-five anyone?

🐾 Or if you have a garden with some shade:

Kiddie pool splash zone

Sprinkler party (if your dog is into it!)

Chillin' on a cooling mat with a popsicle (for both of you 😎)

Of course- if you don't have access to a garden and your pup needs a bathroom break, that's not a problem! Slow, steady and short, that's the key! Keep them on grass as much as possible and have lots of nice cool water available!

Let’s keep those tails wagging and those temps safe. If you're hot, they're hotter. Stay cool out there, crew! 💙🐕

Peppa looked beautiful before, but now she’s positively glowing! ✨ Such a joy to pamper her — can’t wait to see her again soon.

Hinxby's Big Day! 🐾🛁
This handsome Labrador had his first ever groom today — and he was an absolute champ! 🐶✨

He sat like a pro, wagged his tail through the whole thing, and let me remove what can only be described as a small mountain of fur 🏔️😂

Hinxby’s looking sleeker, feeling softer, and probably a few pounds lighter now. Proud of this good boy! 💛🐕💈
