Pet Hydration Awareness Month💧 :
A human’s body consists of 55–60% water, while our pets bodies are made up of 60–70% water. Not getting enough water can lead to dehydration, which isn’t healthy for our pets (and can be fatal in some cases).
Pets can suffer from severe health problems such as kidney and urinary tract issues if they become dehydrated. Some common signs of dehydration in pets are lack of energy, dry gums, and loss of appetite
Tips for hydration:
💧Use pet water fountains. These devices encourage drinking through a constant flow of water, which can be particularly appealing to pets that prefer running water.
💧Add wet food to your pet’s diet. Wet food has a high moisture content, which can boost your pet’s hydration levels, or add water to their biscuits!
💧 Provide fresh water at all times. Your pet should always have access to clean, fresh water. Be sure to change the water daily and clean the bowl regularly to prevent the growth of bacteria.
💧Bring water for walks or outdoor activities. If you’re going out with your pet, especially in hot weather, be sure to bring enough water for both of you.
