Been thinking a lot recently about what to do with this little page of mine - as a lot of you know I have got myself another job and today is my last day away from home training. However I’ve got some AMAMZING memories on this page and Ferdi will very soon be out competing, so although I won’t be advertising myself as a rider/instructor any more, I’ve decided to keep this page running. For me and my future horsey memories 🥰
So have a video of a recent hack out of mine, riding around our local high street for an ice cream. Archie boldly lead the way with his carriage, with Dora and Alfie bravely following. They were incredible! 🤩
Plus Dora will soon be looking for a new home 🏡 As heartbreaking as it is, it’s time for her to find a new person to either teach to ride or bumble around the countryside on 🥰 So if any of you are looking, or know someone who is, please give me a message! x

Just filled in my nominees! Because I obviously have the BEST team, each of them has been invaluable to me and I hope more than anything that they all win!! They are just the most experienced, knowledgeable, supportive and caring people I know.
Good luck to my Saddle Fitter (Peewee Saddlery), Therapist (Dawn McCaig - Musculoskeletal Therapist for Horse & Rider), Dentist (James Arkley Equine Dental Services) and Farrier (Nathan Salter - Salter’s Farriery Ltd) 🤩🍀

Nominate your chosen equestrian professional who has gone above and beyond. You can also nominate yourself if you are eligible.

🌟 Wanted on behalf of a client 🌟 Looking for a long term loan home, or a temporary schooling livery which can lead to finding a loan home for this cutie! Jester is a 11.2hh, rising 6 year old Dartmoor pony, who would suit an experienced young family home. I have started his education, lunging with a dummy on (in walk, trot and canter), long reining and my 11 year old brother has walked him around. He has taken everything in his stride, not batting an eyelid. He’s also been walked out on hacks, which he loves! He’s a SAINT in traffic - artic lorry’s, tractors, the lot, 100% traffic proof already after just a handful of hacks.
Jester is funny little boy and would love a child who can show him how fun life can be! He’s at the stage in his life where he can be moulded into anything, either a complete first ridden or fun pony club pony! However he does need an experienced adult, to help continue his education and make sure he doesn’t get too cheeky. Additionally to this, he does struggle with his weight 🐷 so will need a home who can help him manage this. He has been a companion pony for the past 2/3 years, but would thrive in a home where he is worked and enjoyed. And his owner wants what’s best for him 🥰 She would like to visit occasionally, but otherwise the loan home will be able to treat him as though he was their own. Any potential homes, please message me 🙋🏼‍♀️ And any recommendations for temporary schooling livery, able to develop jester’s riding experience and help find a loan home, please comment them below 👇🏼 Thank you!

We made it, we survived January! Just this month to go and everything starts to get better for us horsey folk 🥳 However, this post isn’t about celebrating spring, I have some bitter sweet news for you all...
We all know this past year has been very hard for everyone, with the self-employed and small business hit the hardest. But I’ve also had an amazing year; I’ve turned 21, got engaged and am growing ever closer to having a little house of mine own 💕 So with all these things to consider, I have decided it’s time for me to pursue a new career.
I gave my first lesson aged 15, in the summer holidays before starting year 11, and I haven’t looked back. I’ve loved every second spent with you lovely people and your gorgeous horses 😍 Some clients have been with me for 5 years! You’ve all become friends and I am so grateful for my time spent with you all.
This year is going to be a fresh start for me, I’ve been offered a job that I’m excited about - despite it being VERY different 😂 Which will hopefully mean that one day Ferdi can come and live in my garden, I can have the wedding of my dreams and live happily ever after. Who knows, if Gov hadn’t been retired so young, I might have been out competing at Small Tour level by now, heading towards the Under 25 GP and life could have been so much different. Although I can’t dwell on that, I love the life I have today and as I said at the start, spring is coming ☀️
So today marks the end of an era, for I won’t be returning to work this month 😢 I will message all my clients personally within the next day or two, but for now I just want to thank you all for an amazing start to my ‘adult’ life 😘

The results are in! The advice from the Government and British Equestrian is to stay at home, therefore I have made the decision not to work for the next four weeks. I will still tend to the needs of my liveries and in line with the guidance they will still be able to care for their horses. However lessons, schooling and arena hire will not be available for the next month.
This is heartbreaking, although we must all make sacrifices in order to get through this. For me, it would be even worse if a client or family member to become dreadfully ill because I made the decision to continue travelling to multiple homes/yards. I hope you can all understand, I miss you all very much! Stay Home, Stay Safe, Protect the NHS ❤️

Happy New Year 🥳 I hope everyone has had a wonderful Christmas, despite the restrictions and had fun over the new year 🤪 It was bitter sweet for us because this was the last one with our livery Jen and Jasper 😢
After last night’s announcement, I’m currently in limbo land as to whether I can return to work. I’m waiting for statements from British Equestrian (formerly the BEF) and The British Horse Society... it’s looking promising, so hopefully within the next day or so I can return to all my amazing clients 😘
Stay safe everyone, I will see you soon!

Ferdi is starting to get the hang of this lunging malarkey! I can still count on my fingers how many times I have lunged him... horses are built to go in straight lines, so lunging can cause repetitive strain on their joints - especially babies! So we do as much as we need to, to ensure he’s safe and ready to start being broken.
But isn’t this just beautiful 😍 An amazing stretch, loose/wobbly/soft muscles, tracking up, maintaining a rhythm and keeping a good circle shape 🤩 It makes me so happy to watch him like this!
I will begin to introduce side reins, on a temporary basis, so that he becomes familiar with a ‘contact’ before I get on and pick up the reins. Otherwise I will keep him naked, just like this, encouraging that incredible stretch! He is still wobbly and unbalanced, so not quite ready for riding, but when he shows moments like this I know we’re not far off! What a good boy ☺️

Well we are nearly at the end of November, which means we’ve had a month to finically recover from the horses’s October MOT! Their MOTs are March/April and September/October, which includes a visit from the dentist, w***y washer, back lady, saddle fitter and vet for their vaccinations 😅 This has been Dora’s first MOT with us, but I’m pleased to report that she has passed! As well as the boys and our liveries 😍
Poppy Webber from Peewee Saddlery was the last of our experts to visit, she checked Ferdi’s GP saddle (which i am using to break him), Archie’s driving Pic-Ha Pad and for a new saddle that I brought for Dora. With a bit of flocking, width changes and girthing adjustments all saddles and horses are super comfy. Isn’t Poppy clever 🤩
Now enjoy some selfies in my new sponsored gear 😍💕
