Continuing the kidding update...on Saturday Alaska had twin boys. One had obviously been a big of a hog in the womb as we have the giant Ubba and teeny Ivar who weighed in at just 600grams at birth.
Due to his size Ivar needed some extra TLC for the first day or two but true to his name he’s strong spirited and is happily back with his mum and brother now 😍

Next was Sharon with one of each. Any name suggestions for these two beauts??

Very busy but apt Mother’s Day weekend here; three lots of kids and one more starting.
First up was Maple who unfortunately needed a c-section due to some awkward kid positioning. Thanks to Chris and Helen at Hird and Partners for doing such a good job with her - she’s recovering wonderfully and, after a quick stint in the kitchen, is happily looking after her kids Taffy and Taps (naming credit to Sebrina)

Blood testing day for the goats. Even with all the bribes I now have some grumpy girls (boys were also tested but immediately forgot all about it on getting some extra grain)
Anyone keeping goats should consider annual testing. We cover CAE, CLA, Johnnes and Fluke and usually do it around August/September to make sure everyone is disease free before our breeding season starts
