I hope everyone is keeping nice and cool in this bank holiday weekend. Here are some of my dogs enjoying playing in the water with friends earlier this weekend!

I have made the decision to move my clinic tomorrow to be an evening clinic due to the sudden hot weather. Although I do have a portable air conditioning unit this only cools the temperature so much currently and the sudden change in temperature is difficult for dogs to acclimatise too!

If you had an appointment tomorrow before 4pm you should have a message from me about moving to an evening clinic.

Starting our bank holiday weekend right! Have a lovely long weekend in the sun everyone! See you on Tuesday!

Lovely Kenai demonstrating relaxed use of a muzzle during his treatment session today.

Dogs wearing muzzles during physiotherapy treatment often get unfairly judged, but the reality is usually much calmer and kinder than people assume. Whilst only a very small percentage of dogs that I treat need to wear a muzzle that doesn’t mean they need to find the situation stressful.

A muzzle is a simple safety tool that helps everyone relax. When a dog is in pain, recovering from injury, or feeling unsure during treatment, even the most friendly dog can react. Using a well-fitted muzzle removes pressure and worry from the situation, allowing us to work safely and the dog to feel less overwhelmed.

Physiotherapy should always be about helping dogs feel better physically and emotionally. A relaxed session means better movement, better recovery, and more confidence over time.

If you have a dog you think may benefit from physiotherapy but worry they may need to be muzzled then chat to us about how you can introduce muzzle training before your appointment.

Super happy to announce that I have made finalist for the Therapist of the year.

Touched to be placed against some amazing therapists and for the support that’s got me to this point.

Now all of you who know me will know I have to go shopping, because I definitely don’t own appropriate awards evening attire!

Unfortunately, due to illness, I’m currently off sick and will need to postpone any of today’s appointments. I’ll be contacting everyone affected individually as soon as possible to rearrange and reschedule.

Thank you for your understanding and patience.
