☀️🐶 HOT WEATHER WARNING FOR DOG OWNERS 🐶☀️

When the weather heats up, even a “quick walk” can become dangerous for your dog. Dogs can’t cool themselves down like we can, and heatstroke can happen FAST — sometimes in just minutes.

Here are a few things to remember in extreme heat:

🐾 Pavements can burn paws
If it’s too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for their paws. Pavements, artificial grass and sand can reach dangerous temperatures very quickly.

💨 Dogs struggle to cool down
Panting only does so much. Flat-faced breeds, older dogs, overweight dogs and thick-coated breeds are especially at risk.

🚫 Never walk during peak heat
Avoid walks during the hottest parts of the day (usually 11am–4pm). Early morning or late evening walks are much safer.

💧 Hydration is essential
Always bring fresh water and make sure your dog has access to shade and cool areas.

⚠️ Signs of heatstroke:
• Excessive panting
• Drooling
• Lethargy
• Vomiting
• Wobbling/collapse

Heatstroke is an emergency — if you notice these signs, cool your dog down gradually and contact a vet immediately.

Remember: your dog would rather miss one walk than risk their health ❤️
