2 beautiful working cockers, 2 different grooming methods.
This chocolate girl has a fluffy spay coat so she is clipped.
The golden boy has a silky, relatively light coat so he is scissor tidied all over.
Both livin' their best lives romping around the local fields so taken short for practical purposes.

In home grooming works great for senior dogs....but it works great for so many other situations too!
If you are housebound
If you work from home
If your dog is nervous in a salon environment
If your dog doesn't like being around other dogs
Think about it!

The traditional method of hand stripping certain breeds looks fab but isn't always practical.
It's time consuming, therefore expensive and not suitable for most neutered pets.
This Jack Russel is clipped and his head tidied but left to look natural.
The border terrier has a simulated hand strip which leaves the coat with a 'rugged not ragged' finish close to breed standard.
Summer ready and looking great!

FOSTER SORTED

We collected this lovely Cavalier King Charles girl from the council pound after she’d served her statutory 7 days and left unclaimed. Absolutely stank to high heaven, heavily matted and hand shy so clearly not had the greatest of lives to now. Dog friendly, fine to be left for a reasonable amount of time. Border Terrier groomed using a rake to simulate a handstrip.
This method leaves a much more natural effect than clipping and can be used on neutered dogs to help maintain the wiry coat.
Face, feet and legs are scissor tidied.
This pretty girl is booked in every 6 weeks🐾
