I love trimming in the New Forest, you never know what you’re going to see. This pony is very used to her surroundings and life in the forest does not faze her at all. She was keen to get back to her herd after her trim though, maybe she was worried that herd of deer were eating all her grass!

Pony feeeeeeeets 👌🏼😍

Those of you with eagle eyes 👀 will notice a small angle change growing out on the fronts, almost there now.

I often see ponies with imbalance, largely dorso palmar imbalance - high heels and as a result of them then being trimmed to the wrong plane, a shortened toe.

You can see here that once this change of angle grows down completely we will have a correct HPA but while this pony is growing out his ‘stretch’ (imbalanced hoof) his HPA is slightly off towards the bottom of the hoof. He still has hoof wall on the ground all round, he’s sound over all surfaces and has been throughout.
