Hi everyone,

For quite a few years now I have had the pleasure of grooming Mia, a Toy Poodle, she is a gorgeous little girl and is about 8 years old, she was rescued by her original family, but unfortunately she did not get on with the other pooches within that household, Mia was then given to a wonderful lady who thought the absolute world of her, and Mia most certainly came out of her shell and became a very happy and playful little girl and she was also very attached to her mum.

Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances Mia is once again in a position that she needs to be rehomed, so I am asking if there is anyone who would be able to give Mia all the love that she deserves on a one to one basis, I have been informed that she is good with children but unfortunately will need to be a family without any pets, if you are interested could you please let me know so I can pass your contact number on…

Good morning every one,

Just a little note this year, my words to you all are pretty much the same as previous years.

I would like to thank you all from the bottom of my heart, for your continued support, loyalty and understanding, I truly couldn’t wish for better customers you are all so thoughtful and kind… as for your furbabies, as they say, β€œa dog is a reflection of their owners personality” of which I can also honestly say is absolutely true, and I love them to bits they are all a real pleasure to groom.

When taking on new poochies whether they are puppies or older poochies, and even when some have anxiety issues etc, to see their progress each time they have their pamper is truly amazing and satisfying and I couldn’t wish for more, to have many of them happy to run into the cabin and jump all over me is the icing on the cake, however, there are the odd few that tend to look at me like I’m the Antichrist, but with a few treats I turn into the food fairy πŸ§šβ€β™€οΈand become their best friend (that’s until their next groom and we go through the same process!) πŸ˜‚β€¦ anyways I still call that good progress, bless them ❀️.

Ok…so as for next year, I am still fully booked and cannot take on any more pooches.

Due to a majority of my customers preferring to have their appointments booked in for the year, I have again spent over 2 months during my own time completing next year’s appointment cards, the reason it takes so long is that I have to find out from every customer what days and times they can and can’t make, considering school runs, work times and groom interval times throughout the year, although that does sound pretty easy, for 70 plus customers who have between 1-3 pooches it does get a tad messy sometimes especially when appointment interval times are not every, 4, 6, 8 etc weeks and can differ depending on the season, so in a nut shell it can be a bit of a task……soooo please please keep you appointment cards, and if need be make a second or third copy of them, unfortunately I’ve have had someone loose their card already before the new year has even started, of which I will not be completing another card as I haven’t got anymore left and if I did I really don’t want to waste my time in writing anymore. So needless to say if cards are lost I will provide that customer with their following appt on each visit, if that makes sense.

On a lighter note, although I did say this wasn’t going to be a long drawn out message, and it has turned out to be!

So I will stop now and I would like to wish you all a

Sorry but I’m having a bit of a senior moment, can anyone who sees this post please let me know whether I have their pooch booked in on Saturday 1st November, I’m sure I’ve booked it off this year for my birthday but because I normally work on that day, it seems weird that I haven’t booked any little ones in… or written a note saying what my plans are πŸ€―πŸ™„

Good morning everyone,

As you all know, I have now shut shop, and I would like to take this opportunity of thanking you all for your continued support and custom, I can honestly say Im so lucky, I couldn’t wish for better customers you are all so very supportive, caring and thoughtful and I look forward to all our little catch ups, and as for all my fur babies … well what can I say, I have the best job ever.

So, as you’re aware, the booking system has been changed slightly, I have had many customers wanting to book their furbabies in for the following year, so the general consensus was to give it a go, needless to say I am completely booked now until Christmas 2025, meaning I’m still not in a position to take on any pooches. There will be a cancellation list just in case you are unable to attend on any dates, but unfortunately, it also could mean that in the case there are no cancellations, then the following date given on your appointment card will be the next time I see you, but we will see how we go when we get there.

Just to give you the heads up, by the time I start work in January, we will have new side gates, there will be a door built within the gates on the right hand side (bungalow side) that will open inwards so just bear that in mind when you arrive, as the handle won’t be in the usual place 😁.

On the down side, unfortunately once again as we all know, in October the cost of living went up, however instead of increasing groom prices in October, I felt that I would give a bit of a leeway and increase the prices from the day I start back to work on 3rd January 2025, hopefully that would have provided some kind of benefit for some customers.

So believe it or not I don’t really have too much to say now, except to give a big THANK YOU for my Christmas presents/gifts and cards, along with your appreciation throughout the year for having the privilege of grooming your fur babies, keep safe and well, and I look forward to seeing you in the New Year.

Morning everyone,

As many of you will know, I am a one for supporting small businesses, being one myself I know I could not have done this without you all, so needless to say, I would like to introduce you to β€œI Can’t Hop Emporium”.

John, a customer of mine has decided to bite the bullet and go it alone using his laser skills to create a multitude of gifts etc. for any occasion, for example, I recently gave John a photo of my parents pooch of which he was able to make me a gorgeous Karma sun catcher with a key ring, this was supposed to be a Christmas present but I couldn’t wait to give it to them and it’s now it has pride of place in my parents living room… and as many of you have seen, I also have a sun catcher in my cabin featuring a very cute pug.

I have added pictures of our sun catchers below with the I Can’t Hop Emporium leaflet, I also have leaflets in my cabin so pease help yourself when you attend appointments.

Morning everyone, as many of you are aware, most dog groomers do not book on a yearly basis, but due to having such loyal and regular customers, doing it this way has proved to be more beneficial for everyone to work in this manner.

As many of you know, over the last few weeks or so, I have been trying to sort out next years calendar, its not been one of the easiest things to do as you can imagine, as not everyone is in a position to be flexible due to work, school runs etc etc and can only make certain days and times….anyways In a nutshell I have tried to accommodate all of my customers as best as I can, however, is does not mean that this comes without the odd hitch.

Due to being full, many customer appts may well coincide with other customer appointments and I have had no alternative but to move that appointment to the next available date which in some cases could work out between either 1 day, or unfortunately 2/3 weeks time… in other words your interval days may be longer than you would like.

Obviously I will be continuing with a cancellation list, and on request will be able to add those who have a little wait inbetween grooms, just incase an appt becomes free.

If for whatever reason, you have had to cancel your appt and are added to the cancellation list, and due to being fully booked, it is not guaranteed that an appt will become available before your next appt, so unfortunately it will be a matter of waiting until your next booking.

I will contact the next person on the canelllation list if an appt becomes available, even if it is short notice, and if there is no response from that person within a suitable time, I will offer it to the next customer.

Please please do not inundate me with texts/messages/home visits… yes home visits! for a cancellation as the answer will be the same….

I will try to keep the list down as best as I can, which means that if I am ahead of schedule or working a tad later I will make contact with the next person, meaning it will be short notice.

This year I will be writing your future appointments on a card, and handing them to you on your next appointment, so please keep it in a safe place as when I finish work, and due to my own personal commitments I will not be in a position to continually send texts of appt dates due to the loss/deletion of the previous dates that were given.

Now to the big β€œC” word…Christmas….

My last working day is Saturday 14th December, and my return to work date is Friday 3rd January 2025, from then on all Saturday appointments will start at 09:00 not 09:30… the rest of the week will be 09:30.

Due to personal reasons, many, if not, all of you are aware It is necessary for me to have 2 days off per week, one definitely being a Monday for the foreseeable future, the other is for a separate appt that does not always fall on the same day, so like last year if my appt does fall on your furbaby’s groom day I will be able to swap it with my day off that same week…if that makes sense!

So, I think that is it for the moment, except I would like to thank you all again for your continued loyalty and look forward to seeing you and your little ones all very soon.

Hi everyone as you know we have now come into some very hot weather, I have therefore posted a couple of very important notices concerning your furbabies and appointments

I do know that it can (for some) be a small walk to the groomers but please be aware of the below posts, if you do not have any transport to bring your pooches to their appointments then please do not attempt to walk them, I would prefer you to cancel the appointment for another time as this will be much safer for your little one…

Remember, if it's too hot for your hands or your bare feet, then it's too hot for their paw pads!!

If you're unsure whether it's okay to let your pet go for a walk on pavements, a simple way to test the temperature is by holding your bare skin on the tarmac for five seconds.

If you find it painful, then your pet will find it painful to walk on!

To protect your pet, it's best to avoid walks during the hottest part of the day, which is usually between 8am and 6pm. If you can't safely exercise your dog, missing a day won't hurt.

Hi everyone,

I haven’t forgotten about the cancellation list, but as soon as I receive any cancellations I will contact the next customer on the list, unfortunately it may be the case that your next booked appointment will be your fur babies next groom…

As many of you are aware, I am also having tendon problems in my wrist, which is to say the least very painful, however if I am ahead of schedule during the course of my day I will try to fit a pooch in from the cancellation list, depending on if my wrist allows…
