It’s with a heavy heart I make this post, our lovely Woody is no longer with us 💔🌈
I’ve first met Woody in 2021, he is a rescue which definitely showed as it took some work in earning his trust and growing his confidence, he was quite terrified of the van at first so we tried lots of different methods in overcoming the fear and what a difference there is to now, every week on his walk day he would wait by the back gate for me, he would jump in the van with no fear, no hesitation, he would bounce around on the walks , he LOVED laying in any water he could wether that be a river or a mucky puddle🙈,he was the best a sitting pretty for a photo📸 he was always filled with such joy and a little anxiety but that was our Woody! He would even wait by the gate and watch me leave when I’d just dropped him off home. But sadly while away on holiday with his family he showed signs he wasn’t feeling 100% and unfortunately the Vet had uncovered why , that he was poorly and it was too advanced to be treated 😢 he declined over the coming few while having the pain managed, but quite rightly his amazing mum and family decided it was best to let him leave with dignity. I’m very grateful to them for letting me have the chance to say goodbye which wasn’t easy, because for us your dogs become extended family and we love them like our own and this part of this job never gets easier. Fly high Woody, going to miss you buddy 💔
