Good day today at NFRS Clevedon Show ❤️
6 stars and 2 pet points (and one DQ, but we won't talk about that....)
Best RBA ⭐ Best Russian & BIS ⭐: Halcyon Kanne
Best RBPS ⭐ Stud buck ⭐ & 4th Supreme ⭐: Milliways Himmel
Best Striped Roan ⭐: Milliways Lishu

And Himmel also managed best Breeder owned buck ⭐ and 3rd pet overall ⭐, with a special for being a mega squish ball 🤣

He's now gone to live with Amy while I'm on holiday, and has a hareem of 3 beautiful ladies to try and make me some babies..... 🤞

One of my pet homes is stopping keeping rats and now has a lone buck who needs a new home. I am not in the situation to have him back currently, so please message me if you can help. You will need to complete an application form and also talk to the current owner.

Very proud of my rats right now! We had a pretty decent 2024 show season, and managed to achieve some NFRS accolades. I am actually more proud of the pet one as I find it very difficult to get consistent results in the pet classes. 💜

Today is intro day!

Mum and doe kittens into my main doe group. They have been in together for nearly a week, hence the larger cage and hammock.
Buck kittens into my main buck group.
Older buck (who lost his cage mate) in with a pair of old bucks.

This also gives me the opportunity to deep clean and reset my large cages, as well have a good tidy of the rat room!

Intros are always a bit of a worry, but my lines seem to be quite happy bringing in new friends 👍
I like to keep my buck groups at a maximum of 6/7, but I find my does do well in larger groups.

The current litter has eyes and splodgey bellies!
These guys are two weeks old today, and are RB and RBA (all carrying roan).
Unfortunately, the does for the Siamese line aren't looking pregnant, but we will try again and keep our fingers crossed 🤞

Much more of a Pets day at Banbury than Varieties!

Milliways Dyrim got best Marked (from two 🤣) but he also got a star ⭐, so I'm very happy with that.
Milliways Kibeth managed best Breeder owned doe ⭐, best Breeder owned pet, as well as Reserve Best Pet ⭐. Milliways Mosreal also won best Breeder owned buck ⭐, and 4th in the Supreme pet challenge ⭐.

Another lovely day out for us at NFRS May Hill show today!
It was a beautifully relaxed day, and the rats also seemed to enjoy themselves.
Milliways Himmel had only his second show outing and came away with Reserve Best in Show!
Milliways Europa did one better in pets and got Best Pet! She's just such a relaxed lady and definitely loved all the attention ❤️ And Milliways Saraneth got a cute little pink rosette as a Special for Best Nest... which he very much didn't want to get out of to be judged 🤣

I will try and get some photos of the actual rats later, but they were much more interested in their post show dinner than in posing for pictures 🐀
