Pete 😻.

My buddy 🥰. I’ve taken care of Pete multiple times for nearly a year now. He is nearly 18 years old, and I actually spent his 17th birthday with him last June 🤗. This cuddle bug loves to follow me around, cuddle up in bed with me (or on top of me 😅), and just generally make my days better when I take care of him. I’m so very grateful for the bond I have with this little guy 😻.

Meet Rory 🐾

This incredibly photogenic, cuddly, little Labradoodle was my first official client on Rover and has remained a frequent client of mine for 2 years now 🐶. He is full of energy and is very much a bundle of joy! I have taken care of Rory more than 30 times which have always included walkies and cuddles! 🥰

Starting up my small business, I think it’s important to have a great personal relationship with my clients as well as a professional one.
Who am I outside of work?
I believe I need to share the face of my small business and the best way to do that is to express my passion. In actuality, this passion also led me to be on the career path I am today.

For many years, I saved up to achieve my dreams and travel. In January of 2022, I quit my long-term, 4-year job. I visited some friends and family in Spain and France before spending 3 months in the USA. I travelled Coast-to-Coast and went to 14 states including; New York, Pennsylvania, Washington DC, Michigan, Illinois, Iowa, South Dakota, Wyoming, Utah, Arizona, Nevada, California, Oregon, and Hawaii. There I walked the streets of many charming cities like New York City, Las Vegas, and Chicago. I hiked and explored many enthralling National Parks including Bryce Canyon, Yellowstone and Grand Canyon, and was captivated by the beauty of nature found in Niagara Falls, Badlands and Kauai. Throughout the rest of 2022-2023, I had more personal time in the US and more opportunities to explore more of Oregon and Washington State 🇺🇸.

I have also just returned from my travels around South East Asia which was between January - March 2024. I went to Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore and the Philippines 🌏. Each country was incredibly insightful and I had the opportunity to experience a variety of cultures that opened my eyes and mind to so many wonders of life. I experienced staying in two homestays with local families in remote villages, endured adventurous activities such as hiking, kayaking and a hot air balloon, and completed my PADI Open Water Scuba Diving course in the Philippines which all inspired me to volunteer in the future for different projects.

After I travelled in 2022, I fell into my path of pet sitting and I believe if I didn’t take the leap and quit my previous job to travel when I did, perhaps I wouldn’t be where I am today and for that risk, I decided to take, I will be forever grateful and I cannot wait to continue growing my connections 🐾.

Hello! I’m Olivia; a 23 year old travel enthusiast who adores all furry friends and this is my new Instagram page dedicated to my amazing clients🐾.

About 2 years ago, I was lucky enough to turn one of my hobbies into a job. I still find it strange to call it a ‘job’ per-se, but I’m extremely grateful I am able to have an earning by doing something I love.

Over the years, I have helped out friends and family by taking care of their treasures and offering them a helping hand. However, after quitting my full time job to travel at the beginning of 2022, I was continuously in deep thought as to what I could do upon my return. To my surprise, I was told about Rover. 2 years later, I can proudly call this my second job that I only aspire to grow further; including the launch of my own business website later this year.

During my time on Rover, I have provided services for around 30 clients; and a lot are now frequent customers! My services include daily drop-ins; once or twice a day, dog walking, full day house sitting, and the most popular; overnight stays for a period of time requested by a client. I have had the privilege in taking care of so many beautiful animals; mostly dogs and cats, that have all been an absolute pleasure to sit for.
In doing this, I have also met so many amazing, caring and friendly owners who clearly adore their pets. They have put their trust in me to, not only look after their animals, but their houses too. Despite my job role mostly being Pet sitter, I do believe in ensuring my clients houses are well kept and taken care of, so I do take the title of house sitter too.

I will be working on my website over the upcoming months and arrival of this will be announced closer to completion and finalisation of everything. However, I will continue to provide my services on Rover even when my business is up and running.
