Ellingham show today - very enjoyable, lots of chat, great weather, yummy ice cream.. and our little show team of 4 did ok too. All placed with a champion and 2 reserves. Thanks to organisers and Judge Jay Holland.

So we’ve had some rain at last, we desperately need it so I’m grateful. But not ideal for births!
So, Tuesday, raining hard, along comes a cria at 9.39. I had plans for the evening so that was ok. However she was a complete nutter, racing round and round their section of the shelter, no interest in finding the milk bar…for hours. Still raining hard, adding to my angst, B1 and bottles, mum a maiden, clueless no milk anyway - oxytocin!
I was leaving at 4pm to go and see Kylie at the O2 … was becoming a stresshead, needing a bleep tone!
2pm another one on the way, bleep bleep, this one more normal at least, a boy. Rain stopped - put them out. Boy feeding within an hour of birth. 1st still being a nutter at 3.45 🤨
By 8.30pm she finally located the milk bar .. there was a little to be had there… just as Kylie came on stage….. apparently it was a really good show!

I’m looking forward to a good nights sleep I hope … this little chap turned up way ahead of his required cooking time but today, day 4, he is using the milk bar and actually chasing crows about, even though he’s still a bit wonky!
