Our perfect location has direct access onto The South Downs Trail which offers the finest riding country in The South of England. From our stables, which are situated in Soberton Village, you can ride out on one of our gorgeous ponies in 'The South Downs National Park' without using public roads. The vie

ws of the beautiful countryside are absolutely breathtaking and certainly to be remembered with such outstanding scenery. We cater for both beginner and more experienced riders from 4 years of age and have DBS checked and First Aid Staff. If you're the occasional rider, here on holiday, or one of our regular riders - South Downs Trekking welcome you all by our friendly and efficient team. 🐴Ideal for a teenager
🐴Been at South Downs Trekking for the last 6 years.
🐴Hacks like an absolute dream on both roads and in open fields.
🐴Very safe and very soft mouthed .
🐴Good to catch, Shoe, lead + clip.
🐴Lives out 24/7 and is an all rounder.
🐴She has excellent paces, jumps anything, the bigger the better!
🐴Fillers- she loves and x country
🐴Taken her to Lower Peake and she took everything in her stride.
🐴Water, drops, tiger trap etc. She stops at nothing!
🐴Melody or ‘ Blue the Raptor’ we call her.
🐴As this mare is far too clever for her own good, she is not suitable for a novice rider. She needs a competent teenager who wants to compete.
🐴Melody is very responsive and forward. She is fit and ready to go with a bit of schooling.

Why not come down and join us here at South Downs Trekking for a fun filled day of activities and learning?

On Tuesday 27th May 2025 ☀️ (10am - 3pm), we are running an children’s activity day where you can get involved with and learn about:

🔸Grooming and Plaiting
🔹Colours and Markings
🔸Parts of the tack and tacking up
🔹Bandaging
🔸Yard Safety
🔹Field Management
🔸 Jumping
🔹and lots more fun activities!

During your day with us you will also have the chance to hop aboard one of our 6 horses and ponies to go out hacking and if you want to, have a little jump/do some ba****ck riding too!

For your day you will need:

🔸A packed lunch and a drink of water ( please do not bring nuts incase of allergies)
🔹A change of clothes
🔸Appropriate waterproofs and outdoor clothing
🔹Appropriate footwear - wellies or riding boots are preferred
