It sure is hot eh, Dogfather Super Fans 🐶 🐾 try and stay as cool as you can 👍

Golden rule is don’t go for walks in the hottest parts of the day and be mindful not just of air temperature but also the hot ground on paws, remember that poster we shared the other day.

Cool pads are great in the house, paddling pools too for the garden but not immediately after getting hot in the sun (thermal shock). Also make sure you place any paddling pools in a shady spot in the garden.

Be especially careful with bracycephalic breeds such as pugs and bulldogs. Some individuals struggle to breath at the best of times. Also applied to some elderly dogs.

Dogs love fans too, as do humans, maybe get a fan each if you can’t share (like the Off The Leash cartoon).

Finally, if your walking times take a hit because it’d too hot, then I’d rather that than risking the effects of heat.
