MEET THE SEADOWNER:
Today’s Seadowner is our lovely Client Advisor, Kim Edwards
Kim has always been around animals and did animal management in college.
She started horse riding when she was 5, just after being diagnosed as a Type 1 diabetic, because learning about them helped learn about her own condition.
Kim started in the veterinary sector at a local vet practice working as a receptionist when I was 19 and eventually qualified as a VCA (veterinary care assistant). She was there for 15 years, until she was sadly made redundant.
She’s told us that she chose Seadown for her next role because we’ve always been a longstanding practice in the local area, with a great reputation for care and understanding.🙏
Kim is a Client Advisor here at the Hythe branch and she has been with us since September 2024. She answers phone queries, emails and occasionally she’s meeting our clients and patients on the front desk. She believes the very best part of her role, is meeting, greeting and talking to owners and their beloved animals. 🐾🐾❤️
In her spare time, Kim is a trustee of Lymington Cat & Kitten Rescue since she adores all cats. (They have one rescue centre and two charity shops)
Kim is also a ‘Sugarbuddy’ for other diabetics and she helps run a support group page for all diabetics, including events for meets and coffees. 👏
As if she doesn’t do enough with her valuable time, Kim also volunteers for the charity that helped her start horse riding and learning about horses called PPEDS (Ponies and Pets educating Diabetics and Siblings) as diabetes affects the whole family. It’s run by diabetics for diabetics.
At home Kim has a husband, Antony and they have been married for 15 years now. They have 2 rescue cats from Lymington Cat & Kitten Rescue (see below).
The tabby and white cat is 13 years old and is called Tammy, she’s very talkative and loves everyone. The black cat is called Boo who is now 10 years old, and she’s very mischievous but adorable at the same time.
We are so pleased that Kim chose to come and work with us here at Seadown and long may it be so.
Afterall,
