🐾 A VERY BIG Paw Trails Welcome to Vinnie! 🐾

Please join us in welcoming Vinnie, Nathan’s newest walking client. 💛🐶

Vinnie was rescued from Hungary and for such a young dog he has sadly already experienced far more trauma than any dog should. As a result, he can be very sensitive, anxious and nervous - so our focus with Vinnie will be gentle support, patience and helping him feel safe every step of the way. 🐾

His behaviourist believes that being around some calm, confident dogs may help him build confidence over time and we’re honoured to be part of that journey.

Truthfully, Nathan is technically at capacity for new walking clients right now… but he really wanted to try and help Vinnie and his guardian. Thankfully, some of our amazing existing clients can be flexible with days, which has made it possible. (And we’re very grateful for that support!)

A huge thank you as well to Jade, local Clinical Animal Behaviourist at About Your Dog, for the recommendation and trust.

Welcome to the Paw Trails family, Vinnie. There’s no rush here, no pressure - just kindness, understanding and support at your pace. ✨

🐾 Happy National Pet Day 🐾

Days like today are exactly why I do what I do.

Sunshine, fresh air and my Super Seven living their absolute best lives at one of their favourite spots…
Running, sniffing, exploring, a bit of chaos (obviously) and a whole lot of joy 💛

There’s something really grounding about watching dogs just… be dogs.
No pressure. No expectations. Just fully present in the moment.

And if we’re honest, we could probably take a leaf out of their book sometimes.

Today’s a little reminder that the work we do, whether you’re a pet professional or a pet parent really matters.

These moments? They’re everything.

📸 I’d LOVE to see yours - drop a photo of your pet in the comments and let’s fill this thread with happy faces 🐶🐱🐾 ~ Nathan x

🎉🐾 Happy 4th Birthday, Monty! 🐾🎉

From a bouncy 7-month-old pup to the wonderful spaniel you are today — what a journey it’s been! We’ve loved every walk, every wag, and every muddy adventure along the way.

Time really does fly when you’re having this much fun 🐶💛

Here’s to more tail wags, long walks, and happy memories ahead. Have the best birthday, Monty! 🎂🎾

🐾🤍 Remembering Julius 🤍🐾

This one just hits a bit different.. my first loss as a dog walker 💔

I've been walking and checking in on Julius for just under 3 years now. He was a bit spicy when we first met, especially if I tried to take him out while his owners were home 😅 but we very quickly bonded, and he was quite literally my soul dog! Lazy, loves his bed, a bit antisocial at times 😂

I managed to get him out on some group walks, and it was lovely too see him make some new friends, and be excited to see them and even play!

Julius hated the rain and would refuse to step foot outside if there was even the faintest whiff of rain in the air. I had to take him out for a wee once in the rain, and he sulked and didn't speak to me for days 😅

He was the biggest diva I've ever met - the king of the side eye and demanding barks. He was a big dog in a little dogs body. I actually created the Biggest Diva category of our NPT Awards just for him - and it took until the 3rd year of the awards for him to win it! Absolute blasphemy! 🤣

Unfortunately, Julius was hit with a very aggressive form of cancer, and walks switched to check ins. We quickly developed a routine - belly rubs, Kong, then back to bed. That was the life for Julius! He'd shout at me if I didn't give him belly rubs quick enough, or if he couldn't get under the blanket and needed my help 😅

After several months of solid fighting, Julius went to sleep peacefully at home on Saturday, surrounded by his humans.

I'm so grateful to his owners, for trusting me with their precious boy the last 3 years, and allowing me to go and say goodbye at such a difficult time. He was so lucky to have such loving humans ❤️

This is the hardest part of the job. We spend so much time with these dogs that they become one of our own, and the losses hit hard. It hurts our hearts that dogs can't live as long as we do, so hug your dogs a little tighter today in memory of Julius 🐾

R.I.P. Julius, you were a good boy ❤️

Sometimes the best snacks on a walk aren’t the ones we bring… 🌿🐾

Winston decided the grass looked extra tasty during today’s adventure! One minute we’re exploring, the next minute he’s having a full salad break. 😄

Walks aren’t just about exercise — they’re about sniffing, exploring, and enjoying the little moments along the way.

Who else has a dog that thinks they’re part cow? 🐶💚

Start of the week mood: Humans — “Ugh, back to work already…” 😩☕️

Dogs — “YES! IT’S WALKIES WITH MY CREW DAY!” 🐕🎉

While we’re dragging ourselves back into emails, meetings, and alarms, our dogs are living their best lives — heading out with their walker, sniffing all the things, and reuniting with their favourite park buddies. 🌳🐾

So while the start of the week might feel rough for us… for them it’s basically the highlight of their social calendar - just ask Winston here!

Who really has the better start of the week? 🤔🐶

Sun’s out, leads on, tails wagging ☀️🐾

Days like this remind us exactly why we love being a dog walker. Blue skies, a gentle breeze, and a whole gang of happy pups soaking up every golden ray. And honestly? I think we’re enjoying it just as much as they are!

Loki here has been living his best life — sniffing every flower, rolling around in the warm (but still wet!) grass, and flashing that big, goofy grin that says, “This is the life!” 🌼🐶

There’s something special about watching dogs light up in the sunshine. The extra bounce in their step, the zoomies that come out of nowhere, the contented flops in the shade afterwards. Pure joy.

Here’s to more sunny strolls, muddy paws, and wagging tails! 🌞✨
