No family should ever have to question their beloved family members final journey 🕊️ 🕊️

Many of you may have seen or heard about the distressing footage currently circulating online relating to a pet crematorium in Herefordshire - they are simply too upsetting to reshare.

However our thoughts are with the many families who, over many years, placed their trust in that crematorium during one of the saddest days of their lives.

We cannot begin to imagine how many people may now be feeling shocked, heartbroken or anxious, wondering about the final journey of a beloved companion they said goodbye to recently or perhaps many years ago 🕊️

No owner should ever have to carry those thoughts. The bond we share with our pets is built on unconditional love and trust, and every family deserves the peace of mind of knowing their beloved companion was treated with dignity, compassion and respect.

Whilst we will wait for the relevant authorities to establish all of the facts, I truly hope our governing bodies will do everything they can to make this heartbreaking situation a little easier for those involved. Situations like this remind us of something that we stand by everyday and believe in greatly -

Choosing a pet crematorium should never simply be about which crematorium your veterinary practice recommends. As pet owners, you have every right to know where your beloved companion is going, to ask questions and to feel completely confident in the care they will receive.

We always encourage owners to independent Google & Facebook reviews, ask lots of questions and more importantly ask how your pet will be cared for on his/her final journey.

The same applies to veterinary practices. We believe every practice should know the facilities they are recommending to grieving families.

Here at Meadow View transparency has always been at the heart of everything we do. Every day we welcome families who come to us to say their final goodbye to a beloved companion as well as families returning to collect their pet’s ashes. We believe that seeing the peaceful surroundings, meeting the people caring for your pet and knowing exactly where they are being looked after can provide genuine comfort and reassurance at such a difficult time.

Above everything else, today is about the families whose trust has been shaken. If you are one of those families, please know that many people, including all of us here at Meadow View are thinking of you. OWNER HAS BEEN FOUND THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO SHARED 🫶🏼

🌈 🕊️ **Some sad news to share** 🕊️ 🌈

Yesterday, we were called to a property in the Overslade area of Rugby to collect a deceased cat that had sadly been involved in a very distressing situation.

The cat is a lovely ginger cat with two white paws on its back legs. Unfortunately, it was not wearing a collar and was not microchipped, making it difficult to identify an owner.

We believe the cat may have been deceased for some time and could have been missing for up to three months. It is heartbreaking to think that a family may still be wondering what happened to their beloved pet, so we are hoping to help provide some answers and closure.

If you are missing a cat matching this description, or know someone who is, please get in touch. We will be happy to discuss the circumstances in more detail with the owner if they come forward.

As many of you know, running a pet crematorium relies heavily on fuel and energy, and recent global events have caused these costs to rise significantly - we are seeing fuel prices double.

We also understand how much the cost of living is affecting families right now. For the time being, we’re doing everything we can to absorb these increases and keep our prices the same, so we don’t add further pressure during such a difficult time.

If a small price adjustment becomes necessary, we will review it and reduce it again when costs begin to fall.
