☀️ Why is de-shedding so important during the warmer months? 🐶🐾

As the weather warms up, many dogs naturally begin to shed their thick winter undercoat. This process helps them regulate their body temperature by allowing air to circulate through their coat more effectively. If all that loose undercoat isn’t removed, it can become trapped, making your dog feel hotter and increasing the risk of matting, skin irritation and discomfort.

A professional de-shed treatment removes all that loose, dead undercoat while leaving the healthy top coat intact. This helps your dog’s coat do exactly what it’s was designed to do protect them while keeping them as comfortable as possible during the summer.

One of my favourite tools for this is my Hydro Bath. The high-pressure water works deep into the coat to gently loosen and flush out unwanted undercoat, dirt and dead skin that brushing alone often can’t remove. It also gives the skin a thorough cleanse, helping to create the perfect environment for a healthy coat.

I’ve been a little quiet on here lately because life has been wonderfully busy with work, friends, and family! 💕
